I'm sick and tired of seeing the same few champs in all my games

Especially Yasuo and Ashe.

It's come so far that I just outright ban Yasuo so I don't have to see his ugly mug every single game. There are wayy too many champs crowding out variety with their huge pick rates and them often being on the stronger side and Riot just outright refusing to give them some meaningful power cuts.

I get it Popularity->skins-> $$

But jesus christ it's getting annoying. The meta may change but some champs are always blatantly over represented in our games, some since their bloody release.

Meanwhile Sejuani got nerfed since she "had her time in the spotlight" Double standards?

i have played against two oriannas in the past two days. which never happened that frequent. they were good oriannas. it was the most painful laning phase of my life. a good orianna. is hell. anivia is hell. brand is hell. talon is hell. cassiopeia is hell. syndra is hell. the only champion i dont mind facing is orianna. and galio

I hate the Season 6 Meta. The balance is terrible and only focused on making the competitive scene interesting. It's why playmakers like Zed and Yasuo aren't nerfed. And they nerfed Shen and Sivir because they showed up before? The fuck, Riot? I'm just waiting for Season 7 to come out and just stop being a shitty meta.

Zed has been nerfed and is in a mediocre spot right now. Do you want him to be unplayable?

Yasuo is never seen in competitive, and more importantly is apparently slated for nerfs, but they are focusing on LCS balance for worlds.

Which don't get me wrong, that's super lame. Fuck the LCS.

I was sorta in a rant mode, so I did the gameplay thing and complained about old Y and Z (Yas and Zed) I honestly have little to no problems with Zed but I don't like fighting yasuo and seeing him every game. And with how every game is now balanced off the LCS and all that, I really don't like that anymore.

man i was sooo siked last night when the duo bot laned locked in Pantheon Mordekaiser and went a combined 10-15-7 and let or helped by spoon feeding Ezreal Zyra to a combined kda of 16-4-24

Who plays him anymore? Especially for jungle when he's not great atm.

Everyone says popularity equals skins, but Yasuo and Zed only got skins recently despite their popularity.

Not disagreeing with how annoying it is to see them so much. I'm just gonna love bruiser top as Sion. It's not like Sion is squishy early and Yasuo loves squishy early game champions.

I mean, not all of those champions you listed are weak. Some just have unappealing kits. For example, Galio is quite strong, probably a bit above average, but he's got high mana costs and little kill potential in lane. His spells are simplistic and he's pretty slow. He's not a very attractive champion, so not a lot of players play him. Sure, he'd get more if he was blatantly overpowered (see URF), but even if he was quite above average he'd still remain underplayed because he isn't just that fun. Remember Karthus in preseason? Probably not. He was ridiculous. With the new mage items and Deathfire Touch, his winrate was about 54%. He did so, so much damage and could transition to his late game powerspike much more safely and quickly. Despite his power, his playrate remained low. It went up a bit, but it remained low. Does that not say something about the champion? Karthus is hard to play and has a really simple kit with no mobility whatsoever. Not lots of people want to play him. That doesn't mean that Riot should buff him though; he'd become imbalanced. Some champions just have to live with a low playrate, and that's okay, as long as they aren't unhealthy. If they are, then that's an indication that they need a rework, such as Aatrox, Evelynn, or Yorick.

there are 130 (ish) champions. Here are a mere 39 (ish, I may have counted Yas twice) champions, yet outside of ARAM it is pretty unlikely that you will find anything else.

This is a major problem and needs to be addressed. But fear not, I have the solution!

I love when people bring up the Sejuani nerf like she wasn't banned in 90% or ranked games, or she didn't have a 56% win rate in the games she didn't manage to get though. Let me guess, you were also upset when they nerfed Kassadin, Zed, and Darius when they all hit the 90% ban rate thresh hold too?

Why did they nerf Sej? Its can't be because the entirety of the ranked player base didn't want to play against her, that's nonsense.

Problem is that people pick what's OP or Flavor of the Month which kind of ruins the game for everyone. On top of that, a lot of champs just lose viability due to the changes of items and Champions.

Karma First main I played in the mid lane back in 2014. I think the meta shifted more towards burst AD at the time like Zed and Yasuo Lux Again, mid main: Changes with mages and AD items make her hard to play against what should have been her easy matchups like Yasuo, Malzahar and Annie. Ahri Current main: struggling after changes to Towers and AD items with focus on early game domination. I'm lucky sometimes now if I can make it to the mid game anymore as people start grouping after the first 5 minutes of a match due to tower FB.

You need to wait for pros to pick Yasuo during official tournaments. That's the only way Riot will nerf him, because solo queue doesn't really mean shit to them.
