Remove Mordekaiser's W XP passive

And put it on a "Melee only" item.

Why you may ask? Well, Mordekaiser was supposed to spearhead non-marksmen bot lane picks but the amount of gimmicks added to his kit in order to make it work was somewhat of a bandaid fix.

Instead of just tailoring one champion to be able to go toe to toe with marksmen Riot should've introduced systemic changes that allow other champions to go bot lane without being cucked by the standard Marksman+Support combo.

Giving them a way to not fall behind in levels and allow them to reach their powerspikes earlier would really open up bot lane for other melee carries.

as a Mordekaiser main i need to ask this:

why nerf Morde tho? yeah he can buy the item now, but that's still a nerf as he would have one less item at lvl 1

i don't see the need of removing it from Morde, You don't remove lifesteal from Olaf W because he buys blade of the ruined king, same with AD steroids ect...

Mordekaiser would just have even more XP compared to other melees

If you remove it buff his W back please :/

More seriously you need to not forget informations in your post because not everyone plays morde

you get HALF THE XP YOU LOSE from being with people you only get xp from minions you kill

and i guess it's a starting item

Bingo. Means you don't get as much XP as a solo laner but it's enough to somewhat make up for the loss of XP. Especially on bruisers who rely on their levels.

Doran's Hammer (Melee Only) 80 Health 5 AD Unique Passive: Basic attacks deal 5 less damage to you onhit. Unique Passive: Gain 50% of the XP you lose when near allied champions.

I think specifically 50% of the XP from minions you last hit that you'd otherwise not get due to nearby allied champions.

If he's going to suffer from the Anti shielding items or any other change there are other ways to buff him other than his already very potent spells.

Considering the bonus exp only takes effect in a duo lane, I doubt any of those aside from maybe yasuo will be an issue. Rumble could surprise me though.

Think of something like item 1083 , but geared for experience gain in dual-laning. It isn't necessarily a starter item, but it can be started or delayed a bit to when waveclearing is easier.

The only situation where they'd benefit at all is when a jungler is near. Solo laners already get full XP from Creeps, duo laners don't.

Morde's W passive, or this item suggestion, would allow one to get full XP for a creep they last hit in a duo lane.

Can't tell me sitting on targon starter item isn't viable, cause ADCs running around with a 300HP shield permanently while also getting ardent for their support faster is definitely viable right now.

YOU NEED THE XP PASSIVE ITEM FOR IT TO WORK

Mordekaiser passive is literally the reason he can work bot, as he 2v2 enemy bot lane while being lvl 3 when everyone else is lvl 2 only few match ups can stand in front of him in 2v2 with only 2 spells while he has 3 spells

If any melee can get that passive they can all go bot but you can't do that if you start with targon that costs 850 gold

and if you get the xp passive item+targon then where the fuck are you early game items like dorans? or item 1001 ?

If it's say, a starter item itself, you'd have to delay your build and have to have an early back to get both, negating the Exp advantage. The early game cost would be too much for any support, except maybe tahm, as long as the Exp starter is even remotely balanced.
