Practice mode means nothing, the only thing people use practice mode on it so see the champion ability or just fool around for the fun. I don't understand how you can consider practicing on card board and horrible design bots good enough practice to be allowed to be played in rank. Rank is where players play champion they know to their up most best so they can climb, not a spot where a idiot can play a new champion he bought out of the market and just played 1 game of bot and automatically think he is ready for rank.

It's just like a person going on Mobafire or some guide site and reading fast a champion statistic and automatically thinking they are ready. They have to play NORMAL before allowing to play that champion in rank.

I DON'T GIVE A SINGLE FK if they waited so long for the new champion that come out and have to wait 1 more week to play it, It does not only effect my game but my points and my team mate points who are trying to climb the ladder. I want to climb the ladder not stay and waste time dealing with people who wants to fool around.

The reason and explaining why is so bad that it makes me cry of the stupid reason why they should be allowed to play new champion in rank.

Also GhostCrawler do you actually play the game and rank? When I mean rank I mean climb the ladder alone? Since it seems like you don't even know how bad the match making is for rank where it is unfair for one side of team, it's already hard enough dealing with the match making system but I don't want to deal with another problem that is actually avoidable. It seems like you don't really care about rank because you work at Riot but other players do and these players that do want to CLIMB not be held back.

Yeah, his reasoning was stupid, but Riot is a for profit company at the end of the day. I can completely understand why they would sacrifice competitive integrity for the sake of profiting off a new champion (and their newly redesigned skins). Does that mean it's right or fair? No. But that's Riot Games for you.

Riot might also consider it "right or fair" to responsibly make money so that they can continue operating the game for a long time and keep allowing people to play ranked games at all.

Competitive integrity concerning new champs isn't black and white. Is playing one game of practice mode enough? How about one game vs intermediate bots? How about 1 game of normals? How about 100? How about until you play against each of your top 25 most common lane matchups at least 5 times, including a minimum of 2 losses and 2 wins (so you know how to play when behind and ahead)?

You essentially said a whole lot of nothing with that comment. Of course Riot considers making money the "right" course of action. Every for profit company thinks this way.

And of course competitive integrity isn't a black or white subject and it won't ever be in a game that's constantly changing and evolving. But you can still take certain steps to control competitive integrity as much as possible in order to provide a stable experience for the players. For example you could even, I don't know, maybe disable new champions for the first week to prevent people from feeding on them in ranked?

For a company that talks about "levers of control" all the time, they definitely aren't pulling any levers here to make ranked as stable an experience as they can and that's on them. They can choose to do something about it but they don't, which is pretty shitty for competitive players and negatively impacts the overall in-game health and experience.
