Tilt proof honor is a bit missleading. The whole "GG Wp" under it baits people...
You go ham 18,0,9 Infact your whole team goes ahead
Honored for tilt proof????????????
There was nothing to tilt over anyway?

"gg wp" isn't under Tilt Proof. Tilt Proof is under "Stayed Cool", which makes perfect sense.
I honestly never see honors on anyone who doesn't carry or get fed lol. the system is pointless and sure as hell doesn't stop even a little bit of the toxic/negative attitude that league has cultivated over the years
I've seen quite the opposite
Earlier I went full AP tahm, I definitely did not carry, but I got 3 honors that game for just generally being a fun guy I'd like to think
I've seen significantly less toxic people as well
Are you playing ranked? Cause I have not seen any difference at all in toxic players. Not one bit. I've not seen it get worse, but it hasn't gotten any better yet.
could be you maybe? I don't know you so maybe not. but think about that - are you doing something to bring toxicity to your games?
I have been saying this for years. Lol. I have only rarely seen toxic people in my games and I simply don't understand how people can be seeing it all the time.
U don't see them... because u are the toxic one [slayer-jinx-wink] cough Riven [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
Oh right. .... damn... I forgot about that.
ive seen more. lots more. especially in blind.
I've seen at least 3 games I can remember where someone was salty and toxic all game, but got the "most honors on your team" cause they had like 20 kills and 15 deaths (as if those kills make up for all those deaths...).
People seem to not care and just honor for the sake of doing it. Much like the old honor system, I see people not even bothering to care 6 months from now just like with the old system.
Everyone was SUPER hyped, oh how cool they said. Then no one cared 6 months later and it lasted for years.
ive seen this as well. people call each other names in all chat and getting the little honor flair. some homophobic and racial slurs here. a bit of flaming and tilting there, but as long as you go double digits in kills and single digits in deaths the rest of the lobby honors the heck out of you.
i legitimately had to report an entire lobby of players for refusing to win and for the nasty comments in all chat. they'd go to the nexus and die then when they'd spawn we'd get an ace and i'd go to the next and they'd follow after i died just to let the enemies kill them. it was the dumbest thing i've ever seen.
i mean why not just win as fast as you can? the faster the more humiliating it is for your opponents. if you mess around and drag a game out and lose the enemies dont care because they just won.
you forgot premades premades all only honor each other
good thing honors from premades influence your score significantly less than from randoms
but think about it if there is even a 2 man premade, no one but the premade can get the leaf and honestly, without a real way to keep track of your honor progress, it doesnt feel like it makes a difference whether its premade or not

I beg to differ

These aren't confusing.
Tilt-proof isn't an honor. "Stayed cool" is an honor, and tilt-proof is one of the descriptions. "GG wp" is an honor. It's not under anything. Its descriptions are "Team player" and "friendly".
The entire basis of the OP is wrong, but it gets upvoted anyways. You can carry a complete stomp of a game and get honored for being chill and level headed. You can get completely stomped and get honored for being chill and level headed. You can have a toxic af teammate and get honored for being chill and level headed.
Stayed cool creates an assumption of a comeback game or having a bad score and not getting tilted
Example: Despite being camped by 2 stealth champs Sub heroCRO stayed cool
When I go 7,0 i have no reason not to be cool.... especially when my whole team goes ahead
The whole honor system is so fking missleading its sad
Why are there 2 rows of sentences anyway

lol so let it mean it was a comeback. What's your point? You said people were being baited by "gg wp" under it, when "gg" is its own separate honor. They have nothing to do with each other in the honor system.
Yeah, the three categories were made by a 12 yo probably, they all make no sense.
Exactly. Tilt Proof is ok but the other two is just cringy as all hell, especially with the little subtitles below. Those sound like they were written by a 30 year old woman trying to be "hip and cool" to fit in with the young generation. i would rather have Teamwork, Tilt-Proof, Great Shot-calling. The GG <3 is so cringy i could die from overexposure
People only honor someone who gets fed and carries their team and does well.
It doesn't matter if you're optimistic and cheerful the entire time and holding your team together morally. If you're 4/4 and your botlane carry is 15/0, they're getting the honors, no matter what. If you're a 0/8 toplane tank but you stay untilted and you peel for your carry and win the game, it doesn't matter, the 15/0 carry is getting the honors, and you're more likely to be reported for not crushing your lane opponent.
Unless someone's in a premade, since premades will always honor each other.
It's the same old as has always been the case in league but with honors now.
I mean last game I hit 12 hooks in a row bot, an my Jhin flat out said in chat "holy shit I've never gotten an IE this early, thanks Blitz". My Ahri 3 minutes later after we get a double bot "Man Jhin, you are a fucking beast" and I'm like <_< you dildo.
No one carries who set up the kills, peeled, died to save 3 people or set up that ace. You got the kills? You the MVP. I mean even the LCS does it. You got the best KDA? Welcome to mvp that game.
This has been a persistent problem in LoL for a long time, though. Old honor system, honoring supports was rare; Mastery system, had some fixes but it STILL doesn't measure support performance as well as carry roles; the (IMO) asshat decision to narrow the window for earning an assist, leading to SO MANY FREAKING TIMES where I practically hand my team a kill on a silver platter, only to get no assist because the enemy champion was able to kite them for more than ten seconds....
This was really not my experience at all. I got lots of honors as a support main! Hard to materially measure if it was more or less than I got in other roles, but the difference wasn't great regardless.
Yeah, the assist thing is really painful. You died with a flash-ult to get their Kat off of your ADC? Hah, you haven't healed/shielded/whatever the ADC in 15 seconds, so you don't get credit for any of the other kills in the fight! That'll show you to be a team player!
Might be an ELO thing. At my level, support honors were few and far between.
:> still its pretty satisfying to know that your team appreciates you.
I don't know who's downvoting you.
My adc (duo)'s started begging people to 'honor the support'
That is not true. There have been games where I had a negative win rate, but due to my helpful tone, I get honored by 2 people for tilt proof, though it was toplaner who carried.
Ranked or normals?
Most of the time when I'm not playing with my own friends it's in ranked, and what I said has been my experience in every game so far.
Whoever got the most fed on our team got honored every single game.
I only honor my premade if I wasn't going to honor anyone else. I honor whomever I believe is most honorable. Most of the time I don't honor anyone because I didn't see anything that I counted to be honor worthy. But if someone actually deserves an honor I will definitely give it to them.
From what I've identified here are the de facto rubrics for honor among most actual players.
I've yet to get an honor in a loss with the new system. I honor 9 out of 10 times unless multiple people were just asshats. Nut yeah unless you win, have the best KDA, or are with a premade, you aren't getting honor.
You are support? Might as well ask Riot to remove it from your account cause lol you aren't getting an honor.
See, my experience is pretty much the opposite of this. While there are bad apples, my cheeriness and outgoing nature (and shotcalling, encouragement, and morale game) usually get me ~2 honors a game. And yes, I'm a support main. :P
if you get shotcaller it's usually because someone is making fun of you for being pushy or bossy. it's a double entente
edit
or if you ask for a dragon take in dragon pit, but it gets stolen or baron gets stolen. lots of players like to rub it in your face at the end of the game.
The fuck?? Just cause you are an asshat when you give out shotcaller doesn't mean everyone is. I give out that honor when people make good calls. And I assume that most people do.
you can assume that, but i dont appreciate being called an asshat.
I am sorry. If you are giving out honor trying to belittle people for making mistakes in game then you are an asshat.
welcome to league of legends. where 60% of the community is mad they're stuck in bronze so they take their frustrations out on others.
Sometimes I get it for games where I say things like "care trynd pushing top. Galio, can you TP and deal with him so you can ult back in for a 5v4?" and "they're all taking drake, and they have no vision on baron. jungler, ADC, I can keep you alive if you think you can burn it fast. Can we rush that really fast?". Sometimes it's for things like "Fiora, you can probably afford to split if you want. we have too much anti-siege for them to engage for a while, but I we can def. keep them here." that turn into victories (they spend so much time trying to force us into a 4v5 that they totally don't notice Fiora taking all their towers until she takes two inhibs, and then try to back in vision of us and get engaged on... because bronze).
Most often, though, it's for morale calls, though. Slowing down, examining win conditions, asking for input, and telling each person how well they're doing and how exactly they can harness that towards our win conditions. If you can, try to figure out each person's personality and state of mind to some degree, and tailor your comments towards that. If you think they're too egotistical to take advice, help them think it was their idea. Another strategy is to offer to support/help people if they do what they need to. For instance, "hey, Ziggs, I can keep you safe from that Kha if you want to go kill that tower."
One thing is most critical to getting honor, helping your team, and getting people to follow your calls, though: make people feel important! Help encourage those who are behind, and help deescalate the anger of that one guy who won lane! Make calls with humility and grace, and know when to fight for it and when to let it go and go with something else. It's not easy, and it takes skill, but that's why they're honors and not just acknowledgements imo.
It won't always go that way, mind. There's always trolls or other flavors of butts. However, lots of bad isn't the same as all bad. It's not even the same as mostly bad. Sometimes, there's not much you can do, but often all people need is a little encouragement and TLC. Laugh all you want, but it works.
(disclaimer: I've been blessed with a caretaker personality and some natural talent for leadership. This system works really well for me. It won't for everyone, so don't assume it's a magic bullet or anything.)
I get honors just for not being toxic. I rarely if ever type in chat outside of an occasional 'good job' The only time I make an effort to type in chat is if I can tell that a fight and rage fest is literally like 1-2 negative comments away. Then I start praising everyone for anything I can think of just to try to keep the ship afloat. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. But you get honors just by simply being alive in the game, not feeding, and not raging.
What. Never experienced this. Am currently playing D3/4 elo and i usually get shotcaller when i actually call for objectives besides you can never know WHY someone (you dont even know who) gave you shotcaller at all.
it's a bronze - mid silver thing. like if you're in diamond you're playing with maybe 30% of the actual people who play the game. Those people are probably some of the nicer players because you guys dont join a match with negative intent as often when in ranked. even in bronze ranked players just assume the worst and any little thing that looks out of place sends the players into an autistic spasm. i dont know why. i dont care why. it just happens.
i know because i've been awarded shotcaller a lot by people who've been very negative and then after the game they'd be like "NICE PLAN GG" or something similar. "noob playmaker" was another one i got.
im a karthus and soraka main mostly so when it comes to map awareness i'm totally surpassing bronze. im in fact one of the only people pinging objectives and mia's in 3/5 of my games. im not spam pinging either. 1 or two pings and usually if no one goes for it with me i just do something solo.
so while i do "call shots" i've only been awarded shotcaller by those who are annoyed at me when i'm jungling or something similar. most of the time the only genuine honor i get is when i'm supporting and i dont yell at the bottom for failing i'll get an enjoy playing with this player honor or tilt proof honor and if i carry sometimes i'll get a legitimate shotcaller.

Support mains unite! I do the opposite tho. I shout at my teammates to correct their mistakes and carry a game that way.
If I was honored, I don't really care what it was for
I agree... And i don't understand why this board speak so much about this honor thing. These honor seekers aren't honorable in my eyes.
because they attached actual tangible rewards to it (keys)
The honor-seeking is the point. Yes, it's to reward those who are legitimately nice, but it's also to curb toxicity by offering a carrot on top of the report-stick. You have a material incentive to make your team like you. That's a great thing! Even if you don't think it's honorable, it at minimum makes the game less toxic. Further, getting in the habit of being nice generally makes it easier to continue being nice! Hopefully it makes this community a more welcoming place!
[slayer-jinx-catface]
honestly i'v seen 0 improvement in my games. When i lose my lp, i f*cking don't care about honor thing (same when i win btw^^).
##There needs to be at least one more honor option
The problem is there is no teamwork honor, so when you go to honor the carry, you have to choose:
Shotcalling is generally a yes or no. Pretty simple GG is more for friendliness, but seems to be the go to for carries, although carrying doesn't always fall under this category Tilt proof is generally used when they, or the whole team, gets behind, with isn't always the case
So there is no great option in this scenario, unless they were a clear shotcaller
And people were backing it up a couple days/weeks ago. What is wrong with this community?
