Mobility and mana

Energy users/manaless champions don't need to match mana users in skill damage ratios. Period. Energy regen does not need to inherently be 10+x mana regen, completely nullifying decisions for burst assassins (deal with it zed mains) High mobility champions don't need to be able to do thousands of damage WITH THEIR MOBILITY SKILLS (leblanc dash for 800 damage is retarded. Period) True damage literally has no place in any game because its just a way to lazily avoid actual balance %hp true damage is beyond retarded in any situation it can actually be used, making it god tier or trash tier and is better being balanced elsewhere

Gimmicks don't make the game fun. I all but quit league only playing occasionally to "enjoy" the raging flame following games decided at champ select/first blood.

Energy is "creative" but that in a balance perspective is unfeasible. Energy champions are generally burst champions, and not ALL MANA USERS ARE RANGED POKE CHAMPIONS. The issue is the geniuses at riot have yet to figure out what this means. A zed blinking all over the lane with lifesteal vs any champion using "mana" means zed gets his 5+ energy/second while the mana user blows 3 full minutes of mana regen in one combo.

Let me explain the issue with that. Zed cannot "spam abilities" according to his mains. I've never faced a zed who couldnt poke with his shadow and shurikens literally forever, By contrast, fizz will blow 2/3 his mana on a level 4 combo and need 2 MINUTES or more to recover enough to do it again.

This is not exclusive for zed. But the point remains, sure ap users "might" be able to out burst energy users if they hit every, SINGLE, ABILITY. but the energy user will be right back. Manaless users even moreso, even if theyve primarily fallen out of this "twenty minute" meta.

Mobility. If you can dash all over the map, you don't need to be able to do thousands of damage for balance. The point of mobility isn't to give a champion an identity on top of stats, it's to give safety, and initiation control.

SAFETY, AND INITIATION CONTROL.

Why does riot believe mobility simply means within small margins of any other champion's damage to be fair?

Leblanc will clear the wave and chunk you with her w, or wr combo and blink, yes, blink back, DOING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. Even thematically, she's a freaking illusionist, not a teleporting veigar, but she has that anyways.

Zed is melee. So? so is every, other, melee. But zed also has one of the most effective SET of dashes ingame. Riven can kite forever. Ever see a lee sin "get caught" by anything other than cc lockdown?

Know what's interesting about the "mobile" champions? They are known only partially for teleporting all over the place....... because they're known for they're ungodly DAMAGE. That isn't healthy. Period.

When katarina was known for actually being played (rip)... she was known for her high damage output. Riot said if they gave her mana, they'd need to give her MORE DAMAGE. This is ridiculous of a mindset when you have champions literally known for being GODS of damage and burst, and the ONLY way riot can possibly make them have to think about their decisions is by giving them even more damage? No.

Burst assassins do not need more damage, and they sure as hell don't need to be able to teleport all over the map while still being able to kill everything they come across.

Any game. Any at all.... speed and mobility comes at the cost of light armor and small strike power. You ever play a rts and make a scout thats literally a rocket propelled camera with a nuclear missile arsenal? No, and that's for a reason.

I loved league of legends for a time, but the grind of toxicity is unbearable........ the balance is beyond unacceptable any more (or lack thereof, regardless what rioters claim)... the mindsets revolving around justifying their own preferences is also beyond repair at this point.

Tldr;

Mana is a resource to make decisions difficult for a better reward. Energy/manaless users should NOT have the same reward for less consequence High safety dash/mobility champions should not have god tier burst/dps. Ever. In any game, especially league.

Both energy and mana champions involve resource management; mana champions manage their mana over the five or so minutes that they're in lane, while energy champions manage their energy over the course of the ten or so seconds they're in combat. In the course of a single combat, an energy champion has a very proscribed set of actions that they have to take to succeed; there's a reason that every champion that uses energy needs some mechanic to refund it. Stopping them from using that mechanic can often stop them in their tracks.

Part of a champion's damage budget being attached to their mobility skills is actually a good thing, since it limits the use of both. If Riven is using her Q dashes to GET to you, she's not hurting you with them, and if she's attacking you, she can't use them to escape.

What's the point of an assassin without damage? Mobile, high-damaging characters exist, and they're not necessarily unhealthy; they're just a part of the counter circle. Generally speaking, they're weak in terms of utility; if they fall behind, or fail to kill their target, they have nothing else to offer compared to other mages. For example even when behind, Orianna offers massive CC and defense along with her damage, but a Katarina who can't kill a target is useless.
