It's easier to blame dynamic queue for losses than to admit you're bad. It's sort of the "thx obama" of matchmaking.

What was so bad with the old system of Solo-Q and team ranked 5s?

"DQ allows me to play with my friends!!! well, as long as theyre within my elo! but still!" WHat was ranked 5s for then?

To play ranked games with my 2 roommates, and adding in anyone who wants to join. We frequently have a team of 3. Rarely of 4 or 2, and almost never 5. Tldr Flexibility.

Until you discover that you can't rank because you're challenger, one is diamond, gold, and the others bronze. That flexibility though.

Fortunately, we are all silver, as is most of the playerbase. I can understand why you are upset if you had 5s teammates that you can no longer play with, but you asked MY reasons, dont pretend they're invalid because they dont apply to you. This whole post chain could be a single comment from you saying "I want to play ranked with people greater than 2 divisions from me", this seems like a roundabout and stupid way to express that.

communication is a gigantic factor in this game.

pitting 5 solo players against 5 premades in voice chat with each other almost guarantees a complete stomp. a 3 man premade is honestly already enough to guarantee a much larger chance of winning than going solo.

simply put, the game develops into a direction where youre either going to have to play with other people you know, and form teams or youll never be able to get far.

its not impossible. it keeps happening all the time.

and its going to happen a lot more in higher divisions, where there are less players to match with each other at all times.

5 solo against 5 premades... Unless you are at the upper Tier of Challenger that will never happen.
