Will we have a champion that trades AP for damage ??

Just came to my mind though, A champion that got reduced % AP for X seconds after using abilities, his/her AP will returned after not casting spell for Y seconds. I heard a rioter said something about testing mechanic that requires managing multiple resources. This will fit well.

(+)

  • great burst first few sec
  • Highly rewarding
  • New mechanic for league
  • Punish mistakes hard

(-)

  • Useless for long run teamfight
  • Has to manage mana and AP
  • Punished hard

by a glance, he/she shouldn't being mobile, but immobile with shield or just full offensive

champion philosophy Everyone should be brave and opportunist. Everyone has to positioning well. Everyone has to work hard and willing to help others. But still, every role has their own characteristic that fit players dominant playstyle

ADC Defines hardwork, patient, doing farmville most of the games, without bored, dedicated for investing late game potential. Carrying the game by melting objective, the real carry of the game

APC Screams for a right position, missile launcher that kills everyone from a long distance and save position. A fearsome killing machine, that will throw explosions on top of all that battlefield.

Assassin The core of opportunist, seeking the right moment and move fast once they get an open

Tank Wield the brave of players, forcing an open without hesitate and sucking damages

Bruiser The one that appreciate balance, right or left hand

Support A protector that love to help others, carrying carries, and enjoying to support their friends

While this new champion Values Calculating, efficiency, planning. What the best condition can you make from your limited ammo. This champ hold the power of the real meaningful decision. So what do you guys think ??

heeey that reminds me of the maplestory demon avengers

more hp = more damage using skills = cost hp less hp = less damages

it's a good idea to bring on the league too, it will be a champion, most likely fighter, mobile fighter, with skills that cost and count hp (or we can make it Armor/MR), and the mobile part will make it can survive long enough in teamfight

So, it would be someone who unloads a bunch of damage at the start of the fight hoping to kill someone, and does nothing for the rest of the fight... sounds like Veigar to me. That kit would just replace long cooldowns with decreasing damage, but I think the overall result wouldn't really be different. As a tank, we also have that kind of mechanic in Nautilus: significant early dps that breaks as soon as someone takes his shield down.

I can't really see how this kind of kit could work as anything except an "instagib anyone" kind of thing. After all, if I'm not going to do damage after 5 seconds, I need to be able to do enough damage in 5 seconds to be able to win, and the only way that will work is if I can wipe someone else off of the map. I'm not sure that would work in this game. There would have to be a reward other than "I do enough instant damage to instagib anybody".

no, veigar has a non-existence damage after his combo. you may spam your abilities, the main idea is to give the thrill of calculating and deciding in a teamfight. It's not like 4 skills will cost you 80 or 100% of your AP. But you'll want to have "self-cooldown". especially in a long run teamfight, to ensure you reach your max damages,

prototype

passive : gains 1% AP back for each second, increased to 3% for each % AP isn't missing.

Q : 0 CD, very spammable, poke, 5% AP reduction W : 0 CD, main nuke, 10% AP reduction E : 0 CD, damage/CC+spellshield/barrier, not spammable, 15% AP reduction R : haven't had something in mind,

numbers always open for tuning, to make the mechanic more smoother, instead of "1 combo, instagib and 90% AP reduction". I have seen a similar concept and they can make it an abilities spammer, not instagibber.

and nautilus is just, not close enough :/

Sounds extremely unrewarding and counterintuitive. The harder you try the worse you do?

when you are on kat, usually you want to jump in after the enemy waste their CC, not mindlessly jumping and say "I tried harder than my team, I jump before they did, how come !!??". Try hard doesn't always mean rolling your face on the keyboard, or blindly doing everything, sometimes it's about brain
