Okay Riot. You've had plenty of time to see how the S5 changes have done. Now please minibuff Grail.
Athene's Unholy Grail is still a craptastic item compared to Morellonomicon. The problem? The Mana Font passive will not provide its user with a MEANINGFUL higher amount of mana regeneration unless they also built large amounts of maximum mana (which several mages and supports simply cannot do without too much sacrifice, and some which cannot do it period like Lux or Brand).
For instance, you have a Champion with 20 base mana regeneration (per 5 seconds). A double Morellonomicon will push that to 60 per 5. A Morello/Grail combination will, on average, put it at 50-72 per 5 mana regeneration based on missing mana (most mages end up with around 1100 maximum mana at level 18).
Which do you think most people would prefer? 60 constantly, or 72 only when you are completely empty?
Obviously they will prefer the constant. 12 more mana per 5 seconds only when you are empty is not a meaningful difference between the two item choices. And seeing as, for cost, Grail is inferior to Morello in terms of AP, and that its 25 MR is basically worthless in most cases, Morello is still the superior choice.
The only possible thing that Grail does to compensate? Restoring 15% of your maximum mana on kill/assist, which isn't something to rely on. You can't really depend on that when you need that mana immediately and either won't get the kill/assist without the mana or will die before you get it.
To summarize: Athene's Unholy Grail needs to be a better item. If that means making it more expensive in favor of better stats, so be it. But it needs to not suck so freaking much.

midlane and actually won my lane, because it's broken amounts of mana regen allows me to spam abilities endlessly, not sure why the passive stacks.
