Why I think maxing E or Q on Leblanc is much better than maxing W first.

W is overall a pretty bad skill in the early game because: -Extremely high mana cost -Extremely high cooldown -Bad ratio -Bad increase damage from leveling up

E is a really rewarding and good skill for early game because: -Mana cost doesn't increase with level -Pretty low cooldown overall -1.00 AP Ratio -Good CC -Overall good increased dmg from level

Q is equally good for early game too: -Extremely well base damage -High Ratio -Low Cooldown -Very low mana cost until maxed out -Good damage increase per level.

I really think that W is useless in early game and Q and E are superior. If any Leblanc mains have something to comment about this, please do!

Maxing w gives more waveclear and shorter cd for escapes or chase

Maxing your W allows for the CD of your escape to be lower; more outplay, more escaping, and more wave clear. LeBlanc struggles with waveclear early and the ability to cs easily compared to someone like Ahri and Syndra who have multiple AoE waveclear abilities.

The most important reason to max W is for waveclear. If you max Q or E, then I'm going to shove you into your tower for the entire lane. I will make sure you can never roam, and I'll make it much harder for you to farm. If you can't just outright kill me, you're going to lose a ton of opportunities to roam and get kills unless you give up all your farm to do it. Not having the W maxed out also majorly hurts your mobility. You become much more reliant on having to kill someone in one burst combo and having no enemies nearby to punish you for doing it. With the W maxed, your cooldown is low enough that you can actually use the W to fight AND stay alive.

LeBlanc used to suck hard and be considered a troll pick until Riot rebalanced her so she could max W. That's how important it is to her. Waveclear is one of the most important things you can have as a midlaner, and if you don't have it, you will be exploited.

The E max sucks because it gives you almost nothing and forces you into having most of your damage in a very unreliable skill. The CC doesn't increase, the damage doesn't increase by any more than the Q max. On top of that, you can miss the E, and people can break out of it to avoid half of the damage. It's a terrible skill to rely on because it gives your opponent too much of an opportunity to respond.

Also, i should note that when you said "-1.00 AP Ratio -Good CC", neither of those are relevant. Neither of these change with extra E points, so they don't matter at all for the discussion of what to max first. It will still have both of these traits even when unmaxed.

The Q max is bad because in addition to letting you get pushed in, it also lowers the reliability of your damage by forcing you to use another spell to activate it. That means either trying to hit a long-range E, or putting your W or ult on a long and punishable CD just to proc the damage. The W gets all of its damage upfront, which is extremely beneficial for keeping your options open. That actually makes it more mana-efficient too, because a W max only has to cast W to hurt somoene, while the Q max won't do good damage unless they use another skill that won't have any points in it. That's a lot of mana to waste.

so, with almost 300k points on her I think that I am able to talk about that topic.

The e ability has a good scaling, but the fact that is is a skillshot makes it less worth to max - when you do not hit it, you'd lose a majority of your damage. I began playing her and maxed q first - and although it has more damage, maxing the w is extremely important because the cooldown is being reduced heavily, it is a great escape, your waveclear, your outplay potential

Maxing W depends on how much waveclear you need. Champion.gg says go 1q,3w,1e,1r at level 6, but I would go 2q,2w,1e,1r most of the time.....

Why I think JamesTheMage17 is in bronze 2 with a 1-13 record:

-He thinks it's better to max E over W first on LeBlanc. -He doesn't realize how critical W is to LeBlanc's laning phase and ability to be useful without relying on the enemy laner being dumber than beginner bots.
