I really need some advice in ranking up, and by advice I mean what is currently midlane Freelo in Silver II? Keep in mind I'm a Mage main and have never properly played an assassin before In case anyone is gonna recomend me an assassin
If you're looking to dominate Early Game then it would be Le Blanc, Fizz, Ahri, or Irelia. If you're looking to spike in the Mid Game or teamfight wise, Twisted Fate, Kassadin, Anivia. If you're looking for Late game Kassadin, Anivia, and Galio. This is my playable bank anyways whenever I get placed mid for mage.
play who your good at and who u like to play... don't try to pick a new champ because they're "OP"
if you get gold because you are abusing broken champs, how does that show that you deserve to be there?

Malzahar is solid to climb with. Safe pick, no real auto-loss matchups.
With that said, if you're looking for freelo - Vladimir. Flash/Ignite/ Electrocute is basically a free first blood. Worse late game, but. Most people don't understand what vlad is/does. He scales well also~
Brand Support, If you can play mid mages - you can play this.
It's probably the best way to climb out of Silver because of AoE potential. Personally, I suck at the game and I've hit Gold three seasons now off of him.
People just stack up on team fights in Silver, and all it takes is one R.
Malphite, you will counter 3/4 of the champs who come mid. W- to get rock hard, run up to Yasuo/Zed and Q them from behind. When their health is at like 75% from the constant Qing, go all in W-R-E-Q-Ignite, very few squishies will survive this.
Later in the game just do the same thing to their team.
if ur below diamond 5 it means your mechanics and macro sucks and you need to be refining ur fundamentals on the training wheel champs
will make you better at csing because yr Q is free, she'll teach you about wave control and when to push and not push in what matchups, and how to assess threat and lethal windows, she has no mechanics required (like garen) so all of your skills are focused on how well you know the game
Ive been hardstuck plat 5 for a while and started spamming 
and 
midlane. I reached plat 4 yesterday so thats something. With swain you build AP tank and can are capable of being frontline and annihilating the ADC. If the team is squishier or has a lot of waveclear potential you can go velcoz for long range poke and waveclear of your own.
Nothing is "freelo". If you try to play LB (for example) just because she's meta.. you'll probably screw up a lot of games until you actually learn her. If you dedicate yourself to a champion you enjoy, you'll eventually learn match ups, power spikes and builds for scenerios and you'll have a way easier time (and better time) climbing.
Play something like

can be great if you know how to land her skillshots most of times , besides a lot of people in Silver don't even know her abilities
in ranked you are supposed to 1v5 usually , don't pick early game champions or single target champions , In Silver generally

broaden what you play and learn match ups. There's no "freelo" champ if you cant play them. Assassins are pretty op in lower elo so id suggest getting good with them. Or, find a few champs you wanna main and learn from there.
you'll never do it with mages. I was a 60% win rate mage all the to plat 3 years in a row and now i can't get past silver 1/2.

Quit while you're ahead because the average IQ of the playerbase has already begun to decline again in this last stretch of the ranked season.
Any answer that isnt ahri, talon, or zed mid can be safely ignored. Not only do those champs snowball stupid hard but they can roam very well and roaming mids is the key to wining games and getting out silver. You HAVE to prevent the enemy from running over your shitty bot lane or top lane. You are basically a 2nd jgler because silver jglers are non existent. You would have a ramus afk farm for 15 to 20 mins for example.
Because of this your shit bot lane will get run over for free because they are shit. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. You have to 1v5 carry every game in silver, there is no if ands or buts about it. If they get run over you lose. This is why a roaming mid is important. This is why jg is important.
CS is not important in silver. I shit you not, you are wasting your time by csing. Why? Because 1 death every 30 seconds to 1 min is the norm there. No amount of csing is going to allow you to catch up to a draven, irelia, or kaisa that is 10/0 by 10 mins. However they are that fed because YOU let them run over your trash allies. So instead of csing just hard push the lane and help your losing lane. Tax them if you have to. Now if they are winning lane then sure focus on csing and holding ur lead.
Ahri, talon, zed, can hard push waves and roam and tower dive making them ideal for carrying teammates. The tower diving element is what separates them from othet midlaners who have good wave clear but no mobility to roam and secure kills with dives such as anivia or ori.
Hi! Gold 2 71 LP with gold 1 mmr, I'd say listen to my points and see if they make sense rather than blindly listen to me/ anyone but if that ranking gives you reason to listen/disregard my advice, there it is.
A LOT of people say "pick a champ that you're good with and STICK WITH IT." But unfortunately this game isn't something where thats always viable. If what you're good at is 
and you always pick him regardless of comp, match up, or meta. You're going to lose a LOT (i know cause this was me for a hard minute.)
What I'll tell you is that it's HALF true. Find champs with PLAYSTYLES you like, and find the ones that are strongest that you enjoy playing. For me i like split push 1v1 engage champs. So my main 4 picks are 
all of which have either engage, decent split push, dueling or a combo of them.
For your particular scenario, it seems like you enjoy burst mages so i would reccomend 
or possibly even 
as people you should potentially think about picking up. Syndra is ESPECIALLY good rn and is a decent counter pick against certain assassins. Thank you for listening to my ted talk
