Promoted to S2 in flex and right after just lost 5 in a row expecting to get dropped back down to S3 since loss #3 but havent yet. What's the most losses you've had before getting demoted down?

The Leo Cat1 votesMy understanding is... you won't drop till you hit zero and lose. The exception to this rule is if your MMR is substantially higher than your rank or around it. Then you can lose several times, but it will cause your MMR to start tanking.
ForFoxSakes1 votesI got promoted then started losing, so it's been at 0 for the last 5 loses. Not even a tier up but just a division promo up from S3 to S2
opgg record says im W-L 64-59 at 52% so was 64-54 before the huge loss streak. Started in B1
Phyuq Yiu1 votesWhen I was in gold 5 my demotion protection shield tanked so many games I thought I would drop like 4 divisions. I see now skipping divisions down is impossible or I surely would have. I don't think there is a definite answer. Usually at least 3 but maybe not much more than 5 in a row but my shield soaked a few losses, then I'd win, go back down and it soaks a few more. It soaked like 15-20 losses. Maybe the shield between gold 5 and silver 1 is just damn strong.
ForFoxSakes1 votesThe drop from one tier to another is pretty extreme. Need to be like silver 4 MMR before it'll drop you from gold 5.
Division drops dont have that big of protection and have never seen this many in a row before and still protected :O
