Wukong Rework (The Great Journey!) DiveFighter Centric

Passive: The Great Journey Wukong has 3 Journeys that he may complete throughout the course of a game in order to upgrade himself with bonuses and reclaim his legendary equipment.

Quest #1: Reach champion level 18 Wukongs gains shining golden headband granting him passive Lifesteal and BONUS armor penetration

**Quest #2: Kill 200 minions OR all 5 enemy champions ** Wukongs Doran staff awakens(turning golden) granting Wukong a % increase to his attack damage and bonus range on his basic attacks as well as crushing blow/cyclone.

**Quest #3:Walk 100000 units ** Wukongs Nimbus joins him as a mount granting him a VERY significant out of combat movespeed boost.

Q- Crushing Blow/Cyclone : Wukongs next attack gains bonus range and deals extra damage then after 1 second Wukong may then reactivate this ability to spin his staff dealing physical damage around himself and slowing targets. Cyclone may be activated while moving and will not interrupt previous commands.

W Decoy- Wukong briefly fades away and then reappears summoning with him 2 extra clones that charge the closest nearby enemies. Each clone will prioritize separate targets and have 100% of Wukongs health, armor and magic resist however they only deal 20% of Wukong's damage. For 2 seconds after using this skill Wukong gains a significant movespeed bonus moving towards enemy champions .If no enemies are within range clones will move towards the last visible enemy champion location.

E Heaven Crash- Wukong leaps into the air and crashes down on target location dealing AOE physical damage and knocking enemies airborne. the cast range of this skill scales with Wukongs movespeed. This ability can also go over walls and structures.

R Wuju Style- Passive: After using an ability Wukongs next basic attack becomes a modified critical strike.

Active: Wukong beats his chest defiantly as his fighting fervor kicks in granting him bonus health regeneration for a short period of time . The duration of this heal can be elongated by staying in combat from a 4 second minimum to a maximum of 8.

STAYING TRUE TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL

With this rework I took a lot of inspiration from the story of Sun Wukong Journey to the West. The quest system reflects Wukongs quest and performing amazing feats in order to gain some of his legendary relics such as access to his flying Nimbus mount and his famed golden head-seal. A interesting thing to note would be that players can choose to pursue certain relics first (for instance Jungling Wukong will most likely obtain his Nimbus due to the constant roaming whereas top Wukong is more likely to awaken his Dorans staff due to natural CS advantage a laner has).

REASONING BEHIND THE ABILITIES AND COUNTERPLAY

Once thing I notice that Wukong players do is initiating from stealth from around a corner or brush however stealth is more of a trademark assassins tool not so much fit to be on a dive fighter . Worry not however as this is where Wukongs new ability "Heaven crash" comes in allowing him to initiate from a distance especially once he obtains his nimbus. Now you can still surprise your opponents from the FoW with an disruptive AOE knock up while simultaneously delivering yourself directly into the thick of it. However beware as the cast range / Movespeed bonuses works both ways! slows from enemies can also REDUCE the cast range of Heaven Crash making escape from a fight after already being initiated upon rather hard. Slowing effects, abilities or champions can be a great counter to Wukongs Mobility. (Inspiration for this ability was taken from Sun Wukongs amazing feat where he leap across the entire world in a single bound! I wonder If our Wukong could leap across the Rift in a single bound as well )

Cyclone is no longer Wukongs ultimate and is instead a second activation to his Q skill granting synergy with his ultimate Wuju style and giving him a follow up ability to keep up the pressure or push the waves.

Wukongs new Decoy works more similar to Shaco's ultimate, its lengthy stealth now replaced by with a more aggressive traits. For best results join your clones in their hasty initial charge and browbeat your opponents into attacking the wrong target or quickly turn the tides on a single target with number advantage!

Wukongs ultimate Wuju style can be used in a pinch to make yourself deceptively hard to kill. but its effectiveness can be culled by both grievous wounds or disengaging until the effects wear off. Bait your opponents into unwinnable fights or turn around tower dives!

NEW GAMEPLAY PATTERN

Your dream rotation will be to use Heaven Crash to initiate then use Decoy to spread chaos with your decoys. After that focus on bringing your targets down one after the other with proper ability/attack weaving using your regeneration when you see fit. Whereas Wukongs overall goal should be finishing his Great Journey as soon as possible and using his power spike to press an advantage or siege objectives. Use your superior out of combat movespeed to roam the map split pushing or in search of a good fight!

Hopefully this rework would add a skill ceiling while retaining Wukongs easy to grasp skill floor and allowing for some more dynamic play patterns.Tell me what you guys think below !

I'd suggest you repost this in concepts & creations. Reworks generally go there, and get more attention there.

I tried and It got auto removed and I was redirected to here.

The spell weaving focus of the e-q with the r passive actually sounds like a lot of fun but as a wukong player myself I'd miss the stealth and old R a lot (despite them feeling kinda BS at times)

One other thing was I didn't like how his ultimate active is just a flat Stat buff, maybe if the ultimate was the nimbus instead of just a part of the passive (maybe more then just ms too to differentiate it from quinn ult)

Like instead of it being massive out of combat ms, it was a shorter duration but let you travel over walls freely (literally flying over head) that'd be pretty sick

Overall this has been my favorite wukong rework suggestion

Thanks your support actually means a lot .

I also thought about making the nimbus " a shorter duration but let you travel over walls freely (literally flying over head)" but I came to the conclusion that I thought it clashes withAurelionSol design too much.

ooh yea i'd have to agree especially since sol's E cooldown is so long it might as well be an ult lol
