Queue up, hit accept, and wow! A black screen! One minute later I get kicked back to the home page and get a message telling me I didn't pick a champion.

Wow! Thanks Riot for your amazing client! You really listen to the players when they say that promo series suck, you fixed it for me by straight up making me lose it! And the best part is this isn't the first time it has happened. Good to see those billions of dollars go to work.

Devoting resources to fixing a minor bug like this that only happens during promos is just not a good allocation of resources. It's very difficult with all the regions they are trying to support, affording all the private jets to travel back and forth. I'm sure you understand.

I remember exiting out of que because I decided I didn't wanna play my last promo cause I lost the mood for it. I got a popup saying something like "Unable to leave, champion selection inbound".

I was then at the homepage for a while, then the game suddenly forces me into champion select. And I HAD to play. It was promos and if I dodged, I would have lost it.

I did horrible that game and we got stomped.

That happened to me too before. I called mid and then went on the internet for a bit as I was waiting. Then randomly it says "Lolclient.exe has stopped working" and it auto closed.

While I understand it may be annoying for you, you need to take into account these things.

If you really deserve to be there you'll get there.

And

There's every possibility you could of lost that game anyway.

Riot is all about profits right now.

The Balance team is focused on a seasonal Meta shift where certain champions are simply OP just to ensure skin sales.
Player Support will only assist with issues that involve the PURCHASE of RP.
Minor Bugs will be ignored because they only affect a small portion of the player base.

Riot used to be a fantastic company that cared about their player base. Hell they used to be apart of the player base. Now they're a bunch of For Profit asshats who probably don't even play league weekly. It's not a coincidence every single Riot employee has a tag in their emails with (insert champion here) and (insert champion phrase here) but lack knowledge of the champions kit if you bring it up.

They already said they have a new client in the works that doesn't rely on Adobe air anymore.

Try running your client as administrator. I've had these troubles before, and opening my client as administrator has helped with this issue.

Yeah I just queued up after getting trolled in a previous game in my promos and I got this when I hit accept.

couldn't do anything. I was the banner but it didn't let me do anything and never loaded. GG

Small consolation that they're working on a new client and changes to promos :s Hopefully they can fix this bug in the meantime.
