Can we fully upgrade our trinkets at lv9 for 250g again as an option instead of having to wait?

These new yellow trinkets feel terrible. They're fine for all the morons that didn't upgrade them before, but for those of us that actually upgraded the old ones, these new trinkets are WAY worse and I'd love to have the option to upgrade them fully at lv9 like we used to.

In summary, keep the "auto-upgrade" over time thing, it's good for those that weren't smart enough to upgrade, but give us the option to upgrade them fully early on (lv9, just like before) for 250g.

I want my pink trinket or old sweepers if I want to fight stealth champions. I don't mind paying 250g for it.

Even though it's supposed to scale late game, yellow trinket is still incredibly underpowered from what it used to be. :^( item 3362 item 3361 i miss you

Oh my god, i totally agree with you, some of the champions i use have ward based mobility and i started buying the upgrade every single game because of the power of vision and the ward-hopping but then it was made easy and now it feels really uncomfortable.

the current yellow trinkets at lvl 18 are what the old one was when it reached lvl 9... it's really sad the only difference is that you can have 2 charges right off the start... great! except not really

If they re add pink sweeper or ward upgrades they need to AT LEAST be 800g. Making a champions ability useless for just 250g is stupid OP

I disagree, Riot had good reasons for wanting it to be harder to light up the map than in S5. That level of vision should be impossible. That's why yellow trinket isn't as good as it used to be, sightstone isn't as good as it used to be, and the new vision jungle item isn't even as good as sightstone (may still be worth it for the inventory slot savings and how cheap you can get it if you're a jungler and building the other components anyway).

Making vision expensive just dumps the burden on the person whose gold is considered least important; real vision limitations need to be hard limitations, things you can't buy your way out of. And I love the way increased emphasis on trinkets makes all five of the team's trinket slots an essential resource.

You have to ration your trinkets now, and you're forced to have 0 vision in some areas because your trinket is on cooldown. And you can't even fill in the gaps by buying stealth wards. Ugh.

but the current trinket is pretty much the upgraded yellow after the first few minutes, it's free, and free to swap to a red at any time, and at 9 you can swap it for an upgraded red or a blue farsight with crazy range As for why they changed it in the first place, lack of warding was only part of it. Warding is now an even more important thing for the entire team so EVERYONE has to keep an eye on their wards. This is a team game and by golly Riot will see to it that each player has equal responsibility.

new wards or not, people still aren't warding in my games... i play support and drop wards left and right and no one else seems to care about our lack of vision. the old method just made it easier for me to see who cared to win or not. this new one doesn't change people's desire to NOT ward.

Yeah I gotta say probably the single biggest reason that the new season feels so snowbally is that vision items just suck now.

It used to be that you could either upgrade trinket or just buy stealth wards to shore up weak points in vision if your team was behind so that you could help them not feed, and even the old starting trinket felt better than this new one. I want to help with vision as a midlaner, but with the new trinket it is literally impossible to even keep a single side of the lane warded by yourself if you want to push (to prevent the enemy laner from roaming, or even to roam yourself to try to catch up, provided the enemy team is bright enough to clear pinks.

In any lane it's now vastly harder to play from behind as a result, since the team that is ahead will simply just win more often without the chance to beat them in strategy, which to my mind suggests a somewhat odd reduction in the importance of strategy compared to mechanical skill.

Riot is just dumbing down the game for incompetent players who have no desire to learn. There's literally no other reason I can think of why they made trinkets free and basically auto upgrade. Not only does it negatively impact higher elo where people knew what a ward was, but it also made games end faster.

That and the removal of green wards was pure stupidity on Riot's side. No logical reason to do it.
