@Riot - A small Syndra QoL change I've been asking for since season 3. PLEASE consider this

Please make her Q with smartcasting behave like Ziggs Q.

When your cursor is outside of her Q range, make her cast it at max range in the direction of the cursor.

Right now if your cursor is outside of range and you hit Q, she will walk until she is in range to cast it. This makes it really frustrating to pull off a fast max-range Q-E. I can't count the amount of times I attempt Q-E at max range only to throw out only my E because my cursor was slightly out of range. And this still happens even with my 300+ games as Syndra.

And no, I don't want to use smart-cast indicators. Turning that option on adds more delay to abilities, and I'd rather not have more delay when I already play at 90-110 ping.

PLEASE upvote and get this seen. I've been wanting this forever.

(Also pls unnerf her Q it hits like a wet noodle at ranks 1-2 now)

I'd have to ask Meddler about this (he's the guy that made Syndra and knows the most about her), but there's probably a reason we do this. A year or so back when we were updating Karthus, I suggested that we give his Q this same treatment, and the responses internally were pretty resoundingly that it wouldn't be a good idea, namely because it would come at precision costs to the spell.

Any other Syndra players/mains have an opinion on this? See below for the exact suggestion (or read OP's post).

The frequency with which I whiff my stun because my Q won't cast since my mouse is slightly past it's range is quite annoying.

The main problem here is that it won't change anything cause if you cast Q on maxrange and E on maxrange, your E will be to short and the Q+E combo fails...which is especially annoying as the E is cast on maxrange towards the curser rather than walking until she is in range to cast it.

So they prettymuch need to swap how Q and E Behave or buff the E range if you want to perform your combo while your curser is out off range.

I do understand your problem since I've encountered it so many times, and it is frustrating when your E went out without the ball. However I like my balls to hit wherever I wanted them to (no pun intended) when kiting or early game poke. I imagine I would miss so many of them if it is like how you describe, and that's also the reason why I do not like Diana's Q, it is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGLY frustrated when you hit it on a shorter distance than intended.

Oh my god I'm glad I found this thread this is literally what I wanted for soooo long. It was like this before if I remember correctly when I mained Syndra when she came out but then I gave her a break and now I simply can NOT play her at all ONLY because of this even though I believe she has lower damage on her q than what the skill deserves (a delayed small aoe skill which is REQUIRED for other spells to function %50 of the time w/e not this thread's point). Simply put I agree with the first poster and wish this QoL change is applied to live.
