Popularity of Dynamic Queue is Irrelevant

It doesn't matter if a lot of people like Dynamic Queue and those continuing to clamor for Solo Queue are a "vocal minority." The popularity of the arguments is irrelevant. The success of league to this point has been, in large part, because of Riot's attention to making the game as fair as possible. In order to be responsible stewards of a fair game, you must preserve competitive integrity. Dynamic Queue does not. A majority of casual players saying "Hey, we like this, ranked feels like a better place for us now" doesn't erase that fact. You try to ensure that champions are balanced even in the hands of the professionals and the tryhards, despite how the majority of players may perform on them, because it's fair and it's right. Do the same thing with your queues. Preserve competitive integrity and don't cater to the lowest common denominator. It's been your way since the inception of the game and your players respect(ed) you for it.

Actually, for 6 years, Riot policy has been to cater to the lowest common denominator. That's just how they do.

But I agree whole heartedly with your premise here. Can't be a sport with zero competitive integrity.

I agree. If Riot really wants to make the game fair and address the situation, they need to drop what they're doing, go over to Korea and address the insane scripting problem. Like, seriously. Tryndamere himself should be going over there and pressing legal action against all these companies that are flooding their game with cheating software.

That's the real thing that keeps this game from being competitive and fair, not Dynamic Queue. It's a MUCH bigger issue, on their most popular server.
