Instead of hearing we were right, I'd prefer to hear we won't be disregarded next time
Almost immediately after the Mordekaiser rework, he went from pick/ban overpoweredness, back to the dumpster, back to a niche pick in a different lane than he used to be played in.
Several months after the Vel'Koz rework, Riot conceded that it "didn't quite hit the mark."
Now, Riot admits that the competitive integrity of Dynamic Queue is inherently flawed.
In all of these cases, Riot has cautiously justified their actions in retrospect by acknowledging that experimentation and "daring to fail" is an important part of the creative process, and part of pushing league forward. That's fine, honestly. I don't think either smug gloating from the community or obsequious apologizing from Riot is appropriate here.
However, in all of these cases there was a significant vocal minority that expressed dissatisfaction with these changes through good, constructive reasoning. (There was also a lot of nonconstructive hubbub, but that shouldn't detract from good discussion). Riot's responses ranged from "Don't worry, we know what you're doing, you'll like it," to "We know better than you <insert patronizingly simply data>."
I don't want to hear an apology; I don't want to gloat. #I want to hear that Riot will listen more carefully in the future
mains: Maybe the rework isnt a good idea, it seems very un-Karma.
