Riot, revert Kassadin to S3 and gut his AP scaling.

He had a more interesting kit and wasn't forced to stack like 4k mana for no reason kthx.

New numbers should be as follows:

Base mana: Nerfed back to whatever it was before the remake.

Passive: Old passive. Q - Literally 0 damage, but silences for 1.25s. Passive 4/8/12/16/20% CDR gain on rank up, nothing else. W - Mana gain is based on Kassadin's physical damage dealt rather than missing mana. E - 200 base damage, 0.4 AP ratio, 5 second cooldown, 2 second 15/20/25/30/35% slow. R - 700 range, 9/8/7 cooldown, whatever the old S3 base damage was. 0.2 AP ratio per stack, 100 mana per stack, 20 second stack duration, returns 30% (+0.05 AP) of mana spent if it damages a champion.

The goal:

  • Completely remove his ability to lane bully. Q would be a pure utility skill. This makes balancing W mana sustain less difficult and forces Kassadin to play the laning phase intelligently.
  • Make Kassadin rely on DPS so he doesn't instantly burst people with no counterplay. AD build would be more practical while AP build would rely heavily on ult stacking.

This screams "Let's make AD Bruiser Kassadin a thing"

Well it was a really fun build and burst on his kit is cancer.

S3 Kassadin was incredibly broken, he could ult in, silence, slow, and there was nothing you could do at that point, no flashing away, no CC, all you could do was try to out damage him with auto attacks before he killed you. Talon and Leblanc both lost their silences for the same reason.

I said gut his scaling. That means he wouldn't be able to go in and kill you without giving you a chance to fight back.

In short, a silence is preferable to having burst damage.

Burst is a much more vital part of Talon and LB's identities so I agree with the decision to remove their silences... but not Kassadin. Burst was never really vital to his identity.

make the ult CD 9/7/5 since that's what it was before the rework.

With 20% CDR built into his kit I had to raise it.

Forgot to mention, the reasoning for building in CDR is to give him more sustained damage without making CDR an OP stat on him.
