Why am I getting autofilled in platinum?

I thought this feature was only for diamond elo and up?

Autofill hasn't worked as intended because a significant percentage of the player base has stopped playing the game entirely. There are probably 20% less total players at this point than there were a year ago. Autofill is hitting people not only in plat, but in all skill ranges. Its also started hitting people in NORMAL game modes in the last 3 weeks.

The ramifications of implementing DQ folks. No one liked it, massive amounts of players quit, which makes DQ even less effective, requiring autofill, which makes more players upset and so they too quit, making DQ even LESS effective, which means autofill is liable to hit any one at any point in time that isn't during peak usage hours.

Yeah, that number is bs. Thats the number of accounts that are registered.

I, for example, count as 16 players by myself because I have 16 accounts.

There are 20-30 million players total. And its probably a looooottttt closer to 20 than 30.

no that is active players monthly. it could be off a bit but you dont play all 16 accounts every month do you?

Yeah, I usually manage at least one game a month. For a number of them its to stave off decay. For others its because that account has a specific champ or rune set up that my others don't. I legit count as 16 players toward that total. At the VERY best that 100 Million is halved just from a conservative estimate of smurfs. Its probably closer to 1/3 though.

Its obvious from the increase in queue times on all servers for ALL game modes that there are a LOT less players than there were last season. Otherwise it wouldnt be EVERY game mode on EVERY server that has a 20% increased average queue time when compared to last season. We lost about 20% of the total playerbase this season.

Autofill exists at all ranks. It's just less needed the lower down the ladder, since there are more players who will actually take up more needed roles.
