Malphite has higher winrate mid than top

Just thought I would throw this out here as it speaks for itself. I don't actually feel Malphite is that weak, he is my strongest pick. I think that's because i build him differently.

roa on ap malph is bad. Yeah mana sustain is good, but item 3802 gives more bang for buck early. then all you need is item 3041 item 3020 item 3165 item 3135 item 3089 . 1 shot everything.

Catalyst rush is more doable becuase it is just 1100g and I can tank a bit with my items.

Roa is clearly the best mana item for AP malphite, your effective hp is huge with it, good damage, good sustain, lots of mana and scales to 150% gold efficiency, gold efficient at 2 stacks

Ludens just leaves you so squishy, no sustain, I think it's really bad, it just says "Hey I'm AP Malphite, gank me and I'll die in 0.0004sec"

So ye loads of people say Ludens Deathcap... I think that's an awful idea, and I've played LOTS of AP Malphite

I build item 3027 item 3020 item 3916 item 3135 and the game is p much done at that point, after... I'd complete Morello and then get Ludens+Deathcap+Elixir I think

I mean I have the most success with ludens. You don't need sustain because your passive is actually just that good. And since you start corrupting pot and build a dark seal you get plenty of sustain/harass with that.

But to each their own, happy to see other ap malph players.
