My proposition for supports.

TLDR: Supports in all cases should be tankier and be more focused on utility rather than any sort of damaging ability.

The role of a support is to be.... the support. however are completely ruled out by AP mages and Hard Engaging champs (i play gragas support and its gross) this is because riot focuses on making the support role so Offensive and halfassed compared to their other laned relatives.

So how do we fix that? Focus on supports being more Utility based and make them tankier in all cases so that supports can do their role.

What do you mean by Utility based? I mean Make Braums Unbreakable the key to his kit by making it UNBREAKABLE and on a toggle resource. Make Lulu's Pix decrease enemies resistances and increase allies movement speed and regeneration and take away all this DMG bull. Make Namis Ebb and Flow take mana from the enemy insgtead of health if used on an enemy. Change bards Meep massive to be moreutility like

The supports have been outshined by Mages and engagers for too long because Supports dont have as mch of an impact in this meta. i would love to see Supports be based on nothing but Utility. (But then i cant go braum onhit jg!!!) Play Sejuani...

Fastest way to kill out all the actual supports..... Take away any damage we even MIGHT be able to do and make it so that we are literally forced to sit there and do next to nothing but auto for any kind of damage.

This will bring about those mage mids being played as support even more. Bottom lane is already annoying enough with Maokai having a 6% of your max hp chunking every sapling in the bush.... And so to keep from being blindsided by them you need to Shaco box or Zyra plant etc to get rid of them, or just running for your life.......

While I do like the idea of a bit more utility put in with some uniqueness, for example nami hitting mana instead of hp........ You run the risk of tipping the supports from balanced to "well, support role is boring to play but are way too op now. So lets play them in another lane."

You want to think very carefully as to what goal you are wanting to accomplish.

Supports being tanky and enhancing/debuffing enemies is one of the most cancerous things in this game(See: Soraka Warmogs with heal/shield items. She gives up nothing for the tankiness because her heals and shields are more powerful than if she built as an AP support).
