Change the surrender requirements

This has been going on for quite a long time. But ya know, reaching a new season, 2016. And things are changing up. Dynamic Queuing, new masteries, all that lovely stuff that comes with change.

But something that I do believe is heavily outdated and requires an update, is the surrender option.

Now, believe me. I don't like to surrender too much. But sometimes, when folks are on tilt and they're ready to give up. Sometimes you just gotta sigh, shake your head and just accept that they just don't want to play anymore. In the end, it's a game and they shouldn't be forced to have to play it.

That being said. The way that the surrender vote works... is just dumb. First thing that bugs me about it.

Why is it that the minority wins out vs the majority?

I'm sorry but, with a game of five players, if 3 players are ready to pack it up and go home, then I'm sorry that's just the way it is, majority rules. It just doesn't make sense that a 3-2 vote counts as a win for the 2 players that don't want to quit (note I give them credit for not wanting to quit), but this gives certain players a little more power than what's needed.

For instance. if there's a duo queue and for some reason they just are salty. They're flaming, they're mad and angry. And they lost bot lane together. To the point where the enemy ADC is at 10/0/9. Top lane is losing, mid is losing and they're breaking the turrets in. Knocking on the inhib turrets in record time. Well now, the other teammates want to quit and just play another game, while the duo queue can be like, "No! you're gonna suffer through this!" And boom, now they alone will completely control the rest of the game. If they don't want to quit, then if the other 3 players are ready to end the game and ether play another game or just log out, now they're forced to continue building up their horrible KDA whilst the other team just gains more and more and more kills.

This is not an occurrence that happens often, but it has happened, and it does happen. There are other things that I think need to be done to have a blow out game end faster. Rare win conditions that can only happen if one team is almost infinitely and indisputably better than the other and has absolutely no chance at losing.

There are some games that are just blow outs. There's no coming back in some of these games and there's just no way for hte other team to come back, ether due to the champions they have, the KDA, the objectives, or just the overall team composition. Sometimes, the game is just over at a certain time and there's just no way for it to end other than a loss. This is a fact. Some games are simply unwinnable.

This is why I feel that the requirements for a surrender need to be a little more efficient than 4 players needed.

Tell me your thoughts. Does Riot need to add another win condition other than breaking the nexus? So that blow out games can end faster? Should they change the surrender? Lemme know whatcha think.

There was a time where I'd agree, but as of late, I've been making it my goal to find a way to make the most certain of losses still somewhat fun.

I figure that I'll probably lose close to half of my games, which is why people sit at near 50% win rates all the time, so I might as well make sure I'm still having fun during that time. Some matches can be soul crushing and endlessly frustrating, but trying to make certain you're still having fun is very important.

Yeah cuz 3 is the majority of 10 right? Or does the enemy team not count as human players who are also playing this game?

Nobody ever cares about the other team, its so sad.

I don't necessarily agree with your suggested changes but I do support the idea of a surrender system update!!

Or... you can go hypercarry, get an (un)official Pentakill, and bring down their nexus.

I agree that the surrender option needs to be updated, but not in the way you think. RIOT took a good step forward when they made the surrender vote pop-up smaller, but players really need the option to disable this pop-up from appearing. The size of the pop-up isn't significant; it's the fact that this pop-up mandatorily appears on your HUD.
