RIOT is trying to LOW-BALL us
In regards to Runes Reforged, Riot is giving us SUCH a low percent refund on runes. (14.6%) in cases of 2050 ip runes like movement speed quints vs the 300 Blue essence they would be giving us. JUST to say, "we HEARD and LISTENED to the players." and we've decided to be more generous, so we are going to give you 450(arbitrary number) blue essence, instead of 300. "WHAT A DEAL!" 50%+ (arbitrary number) more than what we said we were going to give you! What nice guys we are!
Originally (thanks to "leaks") they were considering giving us a 40% refund on all runes, now they've lowered it even beyond that.
Players were ALREADY pissed off about only getting a 40% refund, and riot decides to lower it EVEN MORE!?
What do you think they are trying to do? -------lower your expectations, just to raise them up so that you are fine with a shit refund.
