Your favorite champ is getting buffed with fervor changes coming up

Yasuo If you haven't seen the upcoming fervor changes; Here they are: Fervor of Battle (Ferocity, Tier 6) Changed: "Hitting champions with basic attacks generates a Fervor stack (2 for melee attacks, 2 seconds cooldown for ability hits). Stacks of Fervor last 4 seconds (max 10 stacks) and increase your AD by 1-6 for each stack." So now it can give you actual AD rather than just extra damage tact'd on to your auto damage. Meaning it can Crit and make your AD scaling abilities deal more damage. The current Fervor of battle can deal 112 damage at max stacks right now. So lets do some math on the New fervor... Yasuo Would Deal 60 more damage, but if hes at 100% crit that would be 120 more damage every single auto (-10% because his passive does that) putting it at 108...So basically the same....But now factor in that item 3031 makes your crits 2.5X so it would be 60 X 2.5=150 and then subtract 10% giving a grand total of 135 damage so NOW yas is getting 23 extra damage on fervor. His Q can crit as well, but is only 75% effective....but 75% of 150 is still 112.5.... so his Q will be just as good but his autos will do more

This is a arguable buff for Crit yasuo but a clear nerf for tank Yasuo.

Marksmen will generally like this more if they get it stacked due to this increasing with crit which old fervor does not.

It is also not likely to be as much of a buff as you are thinking unless you are playing someone like Riven who has about a 5.0 to about 8.0 AD ratio depending on level, level of ability and enemy health.

If you are playing Jax this new fervor is all around worse given his 1.5 to 2.0 AD ratio and lack of interest in building Crit while still relying heavily on auto attacking.

If you are playing Irelia who has a 4.0 total AD ratio. It might not hurt or help that much.

Well yeah I mean 23 damage per auto really isn't that much late game, but If I'm not mistaken the current Fervor's damage doesn't benefit from lifesteal, where as, all of the new fervor's AD bonus will benefit life steal. So it's still a pretty good buff to any champ who buildsitem 3031 item 3072

but tank yasuo still builds 100% crit. or at least 60%.

I often see Phantom Dancer + Crit Cloak being bought before any tank items so that he can hit the crit chance cap. IMO its better than sitting at 30% with just a PD.

gonna build it on some of me juggernauts Darius Yorick and build item 3078 on darius next patch

that 60 ad hella nice

Yeah I was thinking Riven might be able to run fervor as well. I mean, she likes to auto in between Q's and it would just make each passive proc and each Q deal more damage, also bigger shields etc

Riven: And what about me?

Kled : Yo, I am here, too. I like current Fervor, but I can live with that new one, too - 60 AD give me 3% max HP on my W, after all.

Tryndamere : I am your worst nightmare.

From a serious PoV, Fervor being changed from on-hit to AD should be about neutral for Crit-based champions and good for some AD-scaling ones. The ones getting shafted are those that scale primarily with AS and used it for the on-hit effect.

yeah I don't really get it, I mean champions likeIrelia or Jax are basically getting fucked over, probably just because rito got scared when they saw it on tank Ekko

I am still hopeful that them getting rid of these abusable effects will finally enable them to make item 3124 a viable item. For instance, by giving it the 25% AS Recurve Bow has as a base effect on the final item. Also, possibly have the passive's damage scale with either AD, AP or both.

yeah, also since KogMaw got reverted I don't feel like rageblade really breaks any champs anymore as it as

Kayle . But she could use a rework anyway.

Jax would rather have Courage of the Colossus. Jax's problem is not that he doesn't deal enough damage, it's that the damage he does deal takes too long to dish out.

A giant shield to help him take advantage of his massive resistances is perfect for him.

Irelia is getting a VGU this year.

Irelia has a 120% AD ratio on her Q and 70% AD ratio on her Ult per blade. She's one of the biggest beneficiaries of the fervor changes, as if she needed it. And Jax is hardly hurt by it: 100% AD on Q, 50-100% on E, and 50% on R active. The only champs that don't like the fervor change are ones that don't crit and don't have good AD ratios, so basically Ekko and Kayle.

God Raijin1 votes

Yeah but when you plug the actual numbers Irelia's Q would be dealing 112 damage extra with old fervor because it applies on hit effects, and now it would only be doing 72 more damage which is 40 less than before. and 70% on her ult is only 42 damage per blade cast so 168 damage on her ult, also each normal auto is doing 52 less damage.

So I mean if she's at max stacks in a skirmish; if she were to Q once, hit 3 autos and hit 4 ult procs. She would deal 420 extra damage with the new fervor and 448 with the old one. And that's ONLY when her ult is up, if it's down, shes out a significant amount of damage. overall a pretty fat nerf if her ult is down, and even in most cases a small nerf when its up

fervor gives ad now? this is a item 3075 buff!!!!!

God Raijin1 votes

Yeah but lifesteal works on it now, so not really

Weathered1 votes

This mostly applies to being level 18 with 100% crit. At earlier levels this won't be a major difference and may even be worse than the old Fervor.

Sire Hippington1 votes

This is not a huge buff for yas, considering that it needs longer to get the stacks up(10 rather than 8 stacks, spells(his E) don't stack it anymore). The main boon from the new fervor is that it works with lifesteal... It's mostly a ferovr buff for marksmen, and about power neutral at best for some others and a rather big nerf for many of the current users.

Dominick Destine1 votes

This is a huge nerf to my tank Evelynn build.

Goddamnit Riot, why do you hate Eve-chan? WHY?! she has so much plot.

Primaquarius1 votes

Eve is one of 2 champions I cant work any magic with

DunkinNoobs1 votes

It's an overall buff to most Fervor users, with Kayle being one of the few negatively affected.

VivaLaKitten1 votes

ok, Yasuo was ok, but now he's broken I demand Riot remove his flute
