(Dies to fed champ [that he/she got fed]) "He/she's so broken."

This community as a whole doesn't seem prone to taking responsibility. I always see the blame being deflected elsewhere. You dive into a bad situation and get blown up? "Wtf no help." Your top laner dies before you even finished your first clear? "gg crap jungler no ganks." You try to tank your enemies to allow for your teammate(s) to escape, but they go back in and die too? "protect me!"

But what gets to me the most is people who seem incapable of differentiating between a champion being "broken" and them being fed and/or capitalizing on their mistakes. I was Malzahar laning against Ekko my last match. He got first blood on me because I messed up and put myself in a bad spot, yet things were pretty even after that, at least in lane. Problem was, he roamed bot every couple minutes.

Now, granted, I probably should've followed him. Thing is, he's Ekko and I know all too well what can happen when you chase an Ekko. I've both faced and played (Level 5) him more than enough to know that. If I were someone with more mobility, maybe I would've trailed after him like you're supposed to in those situations. Not trying to make excuses, just explaining my hesitance.

The thing is, though, I have no sympathy for my bot lane. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were warned 20 seconds in advance one time, with our jungler and myself spamming "enemy missing" and "be careful" pings, and they just stood still at the enemy tower. Next thing you hear is "an ally has been slain" then "enemy double kill." And the next thing you see in chat? "Ekko is so broken."

Look, I'm not going to deny he's OP. His ratios all need lowered, namely those on his shield and ult (which also needs that mana cost). Except, as multiple threads have pointed out, he's not nearly as much of a threat if you know what you're doing against him. If you were to give us a pool party point for every time someone didn't even make an effort to dodge the second part of his Q, for example, we'd already have Pool Party Mundo.

It's not just Ekko that people do this with either. My friend, just last night, was blowing a gasket over Tryndamere , calling him broken and saying he reports anyone over Level 29 who plays him. He fed him and built straight damage, making Trynd's job even easier. Every match I see this sort of crap. Like one match with Malz I kept deleting the same guy with my ult, and he kept raging about it in all chat, and yet he didn't buy a item 3140 until the game was already over, despite me even suggesting he do so in all-chat.

In short, just because you are losing to a particular champion, that doesn't make them OP. And even if they are OP, that doesn't mean there is zero potential for counterplay and that you're blameless for any success they have against you. I think there is value in having discussions about champions like Ekko, but I don't think there is value in the constant QQ in match and here on the forums since I feel many people who play this game can be way too reactionary.

I'm sure this thread will be ignored and downvoted, but I felt this was something I had to say.

That's just the mentality of most players. Not much anyone can do about it. Even if every champ were perfectly balanced, there'd still be complaints of "broken" champs.

I've beaten an ekko in lane , he was 0/3, then he 1 shotted me with his ult and it was k

He has 1.3 scaling on his ult. Yeah, it's unnecessarily high but it's also extremely telegraphed unless you facecheck a bush with him in it or don't have vision of where he was 4 seconds ago. It kinda encourages warding more. They probably should tune it down though. They're nerfing some champs because they decimate facecheckers with no time to react.
