IMO the shield was a really bad, misthought idea. enemies live with ~100HP way to often and its very frustrating.
MakeHongKongFree1 votesI don't necessarily believe that Karthus is "unplayable" because he might miss a few early kills if the enemy is fast enough to get to their inner turrets. With that being said, Karthus truly shines in the late game when he has most of his items built, and the inner turrets are most likely destroyed, even if they are still up, a late game Karthus ult should rip right through the shield and kill low health enemies. Don't go calling a champion "unplayable" because you missed a kill as him.
