And the new marksman changes gave all the self proclaimed pros than main marksmen (Except Gnar and Teemo) a law to completely do it and everyone be fine with it now. When making a complaint, people will call u a "scrub" or "bad" because everone is accepting that a top lane counter can completely be a top laner. But when the top laner loses and "feeds" the team will have ur ass and try to have you reported for "feeding." I've got to say, i was pretty excited with the marksman changes...but now its just marksman and Yasuo wins the game....... As a top main, I think I won't be top laning anymore til people stop playing toxic champions like Vayne top.

Sounds like you might want to try a different lane. As a top lane main a marksman opponent is the ultimate challenge. That type of matchup is what I practice for. It is the reason I play what I play.

My ultimate joy in this game is to be placed into an impossible situation and still come out on top. It doesn't always happen, but when it does it reminds me why I play this game.

So if you think it's impossible for you to win as a melee against a marksman maybe you should leave top lane to those who have the will to succeed.

They completed gutted the OG marksman top laner, though. Quinn Honestly now I feel like Caitlyn is the only other ADC that can reliably win top.

Also, if you get stuck against a marksmen top lane, just play an assassin.

I mean, u can consider that, until you get camped out top lane just to give her the edge. It's more of a lose- lose situation to me

quinn is as strong as ever top. especially since she has more control over her passive now. the cooldown went up early on, but her q applying it is gigantic for her.

and if you go fervor, youll get 10 on hit bonus on your auto attacks very early on, making it easier than before to bully your opponent around.

i think the worst part is that thornmail rush is not an option anymore. it used to be my emergency break against top lane marksmen. it was still a pain to get there, but if you didnt feed until you got the gold, you were able to turn the lane around and deal with their constant auto attack poke. since they nerfed the item to shit, and only get effective with like 600 armor, thats not possible anymore.

Brah. She does no damage early. As someone that did play her from time to time, her Harrier+Q+E+Harrier combo would take half health at level 5, and you could all in at 6. That is completely gone. She is no longer capable of fighting in a duel. She HAS to rely on harass and PRAY that you don't retaliate (I think this is why they went for the smokescreen on her Q), because if you do she'll lose. Yeah, they gave her scalings in exchange, but that's no different than any other ADC top lane.

Seriously, the next time you play against Quinn, just go at her. She can't outdamage you.

Have you by chance played her since 5.23 went live? They increased the damage, it feels s lot more like Wuinn again

Also there are top laners that can shit on marksman:

Vlad, Irelia, Rengo, Jayce, Kennen, Donger,Swain...

Marksmen top are good against ONE thing. Juggernauts. Darius, Illoai, Sion, Feedora, Garen.

Sion'a secondary is fighter ( of the juggernaut variety). He's a tank that builds juggernaut items sometimes, so I see the reasoning behind this.

His secondary is Fighter... Juggernaut isn't a role or attribute.

K, I know but at the same time, you don't build him like a Fiora, GP, or even riven, but heir still considered fighters.( riven is primary fighter, not assassin)

What I'm trying to get at is sion would build like a juggernaut in his fighter build, if it wanted to be a viable build in competitive play. (Not necessarily pros, but ranked, and at the same level as you)

I won't stop you from building full ad sion (Obviously can't)but IF you get your ass handed to you know that you were advised otherwise.

Juggernauts are a low mobility form of Bruiser, and Bruisers are tanky versions of Fighters. It used to be that Bruisers were Fighters who rely on their base damages more than scaling damage, but this isn't really the case anymore.

It would be far more accurate to refer to these items as Bruiser items, as they commonly fit into builds used by Fighters to make them more durable. Fiora actually has a very viable Bruiser build right now, but she is not considered a Juggernaut because of it unless the person saying it doesn't know what a Bruiser is.

On top of that most Fighters don't go full damage. They can, and to great effect, but the majority take a few defensive items.

The major difference is fighters tend to build at least 1 purely offensive item and bruisers (will continue referring to them as juggernauts because of riots naming convention and clarity.) build at most 2 half offensive items at most to be taken best advantage of. Going back to sion. If you went down his fighter build, you would find these juggernaut items rather than fighter/duelist type items. (Unless your one of those people who think hydra [ravenous] is good on sion).

TL;DR If riot decided to separate fighters and juggernauts into different classes, sion would be changed to Primary: TANK
Secondary: JUGGERNAUT

Fiora absolutely destroys marksmen. It isn't even funny how hard she destroys them. 1 Q takes out 1/4 their HP bar.

Meanwhile Vlad gets rekt because he can't stop the marksman from farming and then the marksman can just outscale him, since the marksmen who go top are usually Vayne or Quinn.

It's not really the marksman rework that made this a thing, it's the fact that games right now are so much shorter and dependant on snowballing.

AD Marksmen do very well against a lot of top lane champs early on, but get decimated by them mid-late game. However, late game doesn't really exist right now and even "mid game" (3+ items) is somewhat rare, although it's getting better.

The rework along with more gold income allowed for ADs to hit their power spike way sooner and this makes them super effective at taking down towers, and since towers are so weak right now it makes sense to do an AD top.

All you have to do to make this strat work is win early, and that's what's happening.

Once Riot gets thing settled down and games start lasting a more appropriate length this will be a lot less viable because most ADCs won't be able to out split push or out duel most top laners mid-late game.
