let's say 5 people on the same team picked that mastery and attacked the same enemy would it stack the dmg ? cuz that would be really op for aram matches

Nope. It applies once to an enemy, and another person running the mastery attacking them would refresh the duration but the damage bonus would not stack.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Are you sure? Cause Ik before it would stack to up to 5 and you'd get the damage bonus -yourself (Although shaco can increase his own damage with it.)

DevilishMetal's correct, the new version Expose Weakness does not stack. It also does not amplify your own damage, whether from your own champion or a pet.

imagine we got 2 lyandris in 1 team , does the burn stacks ?

Shahamut3 votes

But if 2 people have it, and both attack the same target, they will both get the damage increase am I correct? Each benefiting from the other?

GundayMonday1 votes

Yeah, I'm curious about this. In a 5v5, if one person has the mastery, it benefits 4 people. If two people take it, does it benefit all 5? Or just the 4? Assuming both mastery takers are hitting the same target simultaneously.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

if all 5 have it, all will benefit from each unique one minus your own for 12%. if I'm understanding what meddler is saying (Hopefully I am...)

GundayMonday1 votes

Nah, he's saying the opposite. If all 5 had it, it would be 3%, but every fresh attack resets the duration of the 3%. So if you had two per team, and you're both tagging the same target, everyone on the team gets the 3% dmg boost from the mastery. I think that makes sense.

who ever hit last since it overwrites the old stack

RiotMeddler6 votes

That's correct. Each champion with Expose Weakness applies a separate version of the debuff that benefits all other players and runs on its own timer.

Meddler,

How long is the timer? is it 3 seconds as the original one?

Hi Im Gilphi v25 votes

Hey Riot please reply, why dont you put it next to the mastery as little info that it doesnt stack how are we supposed to know??

EcchiOtakuTM2 votes

Wait so shaco can't use ultimate which normally applies it's own champion effects to give himself expose weakness benefits anymore? Are you sure? Cause that was a fun mechanic for shaco :/

Not sure if there's miscommunication going on here, but I think what they meant by "does it stack" was "can it be applied by multiple people" rather than "can someone apply the debuff multiple times."

Certainly, I take your second post to mean that if everyone brings Expose Weakness and goes for the same target, that target gets five debuffs and everyone does 12% increased damage to them, which is what I think most people meant when they asked if it could stack, but your first post has you agreeing with a guy that specifically said it should overwrite, so that there can only ever be one Expose Weakness debuff on one target at a time.

Could you set the record straight with a post outlining exactly what it does? :D

I would interpret it to mean that the target gets five debuffs, but everyone does 3% increased damage to them. Instead of "+3% for each Expose Weakness except your own" it's "+3% if there is any Expose Weakness except your own". So they don't stack, but they do coexist.

However, that is slightly different than what DevilishMetal said -- the second attacker wouldn't actually refresh the duration if he is applying his own independent debuff instead.

Exactly. which is why I asked Meddler to spell it out exactly to avoid confusion :)

So say I'm an ADC and all my other allies are running expose weakness. Does that mean I get 12% increase damage on a target if all of them attacked it?

What about duration? Is it still 3 seconds?

Ok but I have heard that it only works on spells and autoattacks... does it work on Sunfirecape ?

As in, if I'm a tank standing in the middle of the enemy team burning them with AoE, will the enemy team get "Expose Weakness" on them ??? the mastery says "Damaging enemies" it doesn't say "Auto attack or spell".

FurretHasAGlock1 votes

I don't think that is how they want it to work, so I'm gonna say no lol.

It seems as though this question was not properly answered. With Hexakill running right now I'd like to know if 15% or even 18% is a theoretical possibility.

No it doesn't stack. Its capped at 3%. So it goes like this. You hit an enemy champion and activate it. All other team members hit the same champ, they deal 3% more damage, if they too have expose weakness ( atleast one more) You too start dealing 3% more damage.

And since description says damaging abilities, sunfire cape doesn't apply. But it will be really fun with champion aoe abilities, such as MissFortune Ult, Lucian ult, Annie w e and r( only at the time of summon). And best one would be Karthus Ult, every enem start taking 3% more damage, regardless of the distance.
