Oh you won one game? How about you lose 7 now
Matchmaking is pissing me off really hard today, to the point where I have to start agreeing with all the complaints I see on the boards about it.
The worst thing is that it always matches me against enemy one tricks to a counter pick of mine.
Oh I am playing morgana? Gonna fight a Syndra
Oh I picked Draven? Well enjoy 3 assassins in your enemy party, one of whom is a Pyke main
Mordekaiser? How about you have to deal with a Jax AND a yasuo and both get fed?
This is pissing me off so much. Matchmaking should disergard champion-specific winrates and solely match with high MMR players, not high MMR player's who's recent champion picks counter yours. This is bullshit. If I am already doomed to lose, at least give me a fighting chance.
Edit: After quite a few answers, I decided to answer to different comments, that aren't just shaming of either rank, mood or a no u debunk of the discussion (E.g. calling it anecdotes).
The complaint that matchmaking intentionally blocks you at some point has been one of the most consistent complaints there are. And with Client and death recap being addressed, skin favoritism is the only complaint that is as old as matchmaking. It has been downright confirmed that matchmaking gives you harder matches on winstreaks and promos.
Second of all, I am angry, but not necessarily tilted. I am not jumping at any specific person, keep that in mind.
Third thing to say. Lets say its true that matchmaking completely disregards champion specific winrates and matchups. Then I would like to know why it happens so often to a LOT of people that they receive precisely the one kind of enemy they can't fight. As I have served some of my own examples, shitty situations like these keep happening over and over and games end up lost at champ select already.
The big problem is that it always has to happen in streaks. How long has it been since people commonly had a win-lose-win-lose situation? Never. Its Win-Win-Win-Lose-Lose-Lose Its the main reason why climbing is such a pain in the ass that Riot had to introduce 2 new tiers to make it easier by separating the ranked player base on a deeper scale, making it less likely to be matched vs high diamond enemies with full low bronze allies.
