What would Ashe look like today?

Ashe is the wrong choice, in nearly any matchup. Her very limited maneuverability, paired with a kit that desires fighting over a long time, makes her just a bad choice in the world of high burst and dive comps that are constantly seen. If Riot were to release Ashe today: she would play drastically differently.

So what if Riot did release Ashe today, as a new champion. What would she be like? Imagine all we have is her sprite and backstory: what kind of character would Riot make Ashe be today?

My thoughts? She would play like a Sherwood forest archer: Using a high base move speed to dart around the battle, quickly using several different arrow techs with low cooldown. Though she's a queen, she's clearly dressed like she's on a royal hunt, and is very familiar with hunting with a bow.

Definitely change the permaslow to a windowed slow to allow more power and counterplay.

but doesn't she go oom really fast?

OOM isn't counterplay. It's just a badly-implemented limiter.

but still has a winrate over 50%

i thought we've been through this, win rates mean very little.

that's actually wrong, they mean quite a lot.

Ashe is fine at what she does.

What is all this salt towards Ashe's balance state? when she's clearly a balanced champion at the moment with pretty defined strengths that make her a pretty effective champion at what she's meant to do.

"wrong choice at every matchup" this post is pathetic, starting from here.

She definitely wouldn't have the Permaslow, though her Ult would likely stay.

She wouldn't have boobs either, because apparently we're not into that kind of thing anymore.

all these people talking about how modern champs would never have a permaslow except gnar has a slow on every ability and picking up his rocks gives them virtually no cooldown.

Innate - Focus: Ashe builds focus stacks by moving. Once she reaches 100 stacks, her next auto-attack is a crit and consumes the stacks. Stacks start at Ashe's current critical strike chance.

Q - Volley: Ashe fires a volley of 3/4/5/6/7 arrows in a cone, dealing physical damage and slowing foes hit by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2.5 seconds. Cooldown of 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds.

W - Hawkshot: Passive: Ashe's skills and auto-attacks reveal foes hit for 2.5 seconds. Active: Unchanged

E - Frost Snare: Ashe fires a skillshot nuke that deals magic damage to the first enemy unit hit. If the enemy is already slowed, they will be snared for the remainder of the duration.

R - Unchanged

Would this hypothetical kit be designed by CertantyT? If so, be sure to include true damage somewhere and have her kit be overloaded.

My worst position is adc but I did play ashe a bunch when I started here. After awhile I realized she was just always outmatched. I know she is good later on like when most adc's shine. But, games often seem to end before she can reach that sweet spot. And early game, she gets matched vs champs with mobility and bursty abilities and can't really trade well from my experience. She is very squishy so sitting under tower won't really save her.

In my opinion, she needs some sort of survival skill for early game. It could even replace her passive. I don't know what would be OP or useless but I think some kind of mobility or early game defense is what she is really lacking to keep her going to late game if the match makes it that far. I think giving her too much more move speed outside of a long cd ability would be a mistake though with her slows.

Also, that passive doesn't make sense to me. Why give a position whose job is to auto attack, build AS and crit gear a passive which rewards for not attacking as a crit she will already make with the gear she builds?
