I think there is something wrong with matchmaking

Irrelevant of other factors: one player is far outside the skill level of anyone else.

Like. . . I had one player in chat, saying that they're not very good. They expect to die a lot. They're telling us they're not very good!

And I can get some kills, and not die for twenty minutes, and push out my lane, and go and gank their lane multiple times, and they get kills, and have a positive KDA initially. . . . .

They thought they couldn't do this. . .and I helped them out, and they're ahead now, and I've even ganked them some more after that. . .

Seems about right: they fed the most in the game.

They never hit anyone with their ult.

If they hit anyone with an ability, they die less than three seconds later.

They're a bad player. They unable to land their skill shots, they're literally saying they're bad at this, and they're always out of position and dying all the time.

And the enemy team doesn't have that player on their team, this time.

So, that side won.

And, the majourity of games, nowadays, I can tell who's going to win: either in champ select, or in the first two minutes, because either my team is "all together" and reasonably competent . . . . and it's the enemy team with the idiot and we're going to bowl them over. . . . .or the idiot's on my team. Maybe he's even writing in chat to tell me he's on my team.

Even if I stop his opponent from snowballing, it doesn't matter. . !

He's like the missing player in a 4v5, except he's giving the enemy gold, too!!

[zombie-brand-mindblown]

Like some kind of negative player. . .

If the idiot is on their side, we win. . . . it's not fun.

If the idiot is on my side, we lose. . . . . it doesn't matter if I help; if I help someone else. . . . if I help myself. . . .it's going to be a 4v5. We're going to lose.

[darius-angry]

So:

"lower ranked player" on my side We lose. . . .not fun "lower ranked player" on the opponent side We win. . . . .not fun

It's a lot of the games. Maybe 40%

Then, 30% is "'non-racist'Apple" who is going 23/1 and is taking every possible cs.

. . . .40% of the time: someone on one team, can't cs well.

There's a problem with matchmaking.

It's especially evident in promo-games, where players have really good games up until promos then all of a sudden they get really toxic/shitty players who would rather flame and give up than actually play the game... Every. Single. Promos. I've brought it up before and see people mention it here and there.

When my main account on OPGG HAS me as MVP or ACE for 6 out of the last 10 games, there’s an issue

I have always thought that in ranked you, or the enemy team is actually all really close to the same skill level with the exception of the ONE DUDE one either team that just doesn't belong with the others, and it easily swings games... No no. That's paranoia.

Nice to see this post.

Additional note: The FK'n Promo's thing. IT HAS TO BE REAL. I swear promo matches were the most toxic thing in the world. Announcing your promo in pre game is like walking around in the hood with a hundred dollar bill on your hat. You will lose.

When i'm on a winning streak, finish my promos, promote to gold 1 and all of sudden i get 3 soft inting players, then there is an issue.Especially when that happens all the time i'm on a winning streak.

Just now for a example,i promoted to Gold 1 for third time and got 3 monkeys (mid + bot) that were dying way to much in the first 10 minutes of the game.Only me(top) and Kled (jungle) were calm enough to keep the match up before our lucian starts walking literally to Camille and Yasuo to die again and again.

This crap has been going on for months and even Riot admitted that no matter how good a player is,he just doesn't climb.Hence, the ranked changes for the upcoming season.

If this still goes on,i bait players will have to find another game where their skill matters and not how hard someone will int.

right now in my history i have lots of flex games with plat/diam teams vs iron/silver. i should have let a bot play these games the result would have been the same exept i would not waste the time on it.

Matchmaking is at least such a coinflip but it could be even actualy rigged by riot, and thats how you end up with fucked up games all of a sudden when you enter promo or when you had a long win streak.

In both case yes the matchmaking is RNG and RNG is not esports like at all.

You have the smurf on your team or they do, you have the most toxic team or they do, you have the afk or they do, you have the feeder or they do, you have the eloboosted or they do. Your skillls are not much involved in the result of the game.

Clash is the last hope for me if it stills feels like a matchmaker algorithm am quitting the game

I have two theories on this.

  1. Their riot employees, aka GateKeepers. Their role is to mess up the game, to see if you "deserve to win.
  2. This is apart of Riots system to make games quicker. They throw in a bad player to tip the scales per say. Otherwise if everyone was equally good, and there was good defensive itemization, we would have two hour long games again, which i REALLY enjoyed.

They dont want that, they want games to be over quickly and fun.

I REALLY think we're ready for our end of game rank (S through D, idk what else to call it) to affect our LP gains. Now, for this to work, it would have to have a VERY minor impact, but I think that that impact would be enough to set things straight. Let's be real. People buy accounts. I think it actually happens more than anybody realizes. It's a HUGE problem in D5. One noob can really hold a team back. The problem is that those noobs are going to get carried here and there, so in order for them to FINALLY drop divisions, theyre going to have to ruin so many games first. A maximum 10% shift in the mmr gained per game based on performance would slowly add up to have a huge impact on the climbing experience. Give the player who did the worst an additional 10% mmr penalty, and the player who did the best a 10% mmr refund on a loss, and vice versa for wins. I really think that this small change would add up over time and have a GREAT impact on the climbing experience. The rank distribution (S through D) would only need a SLIGHT tune up for this to work, as I have seen champions like Vayne go 12/4/10 with relatively good farm and only get A+, although typically the system does overall a very solid job currently. Oh, and a final note is that in my opinion it shouldnt come down to the ACTUAL rank you were given, but the position of rank you were given compared to your teammates. It should be like +10%, +5%, 0%, -5%, -10% based on how well they did.

in norms its even worse to the extreme. 1 game u will go 11/0 and the next 0/11..........no consistency in matchmaking here.

There is clearly something wrong with the matchmaking. I just had a flex game with a bronze 4 toplaner vs a plat 4 and a gold 4 jgl vs a diam 4. According to Riot its a 50+/-1% chance of winning everygame. Well simply put they lie.

Don't give money to that scam company until they stop doing everything for marketing's sake.

League is a game that has exactly 2 outcomes, Win or lose. As such the AVERAGE is LITERALLY WHERE EVERYONE STARTS. The average could be gold if Riot wanted to start people in gold. The reason its a bell curve is because you can only GAIN or LOSE no between. For every team that loses their is one that wins. Win streaks and loss streaks gain and lose evenly. The reason the average player base is silver is because riot starts people in silver. 5/5 is the average score on a set of placements, which puts you at, you guessed it bronze 1 or silver 5 depending on when those occur. That where the bell curve starts. This means that ALL games in silver to bronze to even gold are horribly screwed to randomization based on who has the new player. Either RIOT admits to having almost NO new players, and admits to going down hill on their game do to poor decisions, or they admit that they are trying to make it near impossible to climb. Its cancer having bad players that cant even cs in my games, but its even more cancer watching them get flamed and struggling to even understand why the enemy zed can w e q them and instagib them without any reaction time. IF you truly want the game to be inviting to NEW players you will move the bell curve to bronze, and have the worst of the worst be nearer bronze 5 and the average be nearer bronze 3 or 2. As of right now, its actually easier to make a new account multiple times and roll the placements to try to win your way outa silver. If a new player cant even cs properly, then how should they beat a person that has mastered EVERYTHING in the game, outside of teamwork. That is what makes a silver silver, they suck at teamwork, or they are literally new to the game and have been shoved into silver unjustly.

This was a post i made before, at its why almost all elos suffer from that below plat suffer from that. All elos ABOVE plat, based on riots statement before about que times, suffer because riot REFUSES to allow ONLY 1 rank to fight with ONLY that rank. Challengers fight with diamonds and plats simply for the sake of que times. Almost all elos are suffering because riots system is designed to make RANKED play like NORMALS. Fast, Quick, Easy, Cheap, and means nothing.
