Add "Remaining Tick" Counter to Ignite

I have a suggestion.

Currently, the effect of ignite continues, even after the last tick of damage has occurred [because the health regeneration effect continues], yet it's impossible to tell at a glance if the last damage tick has already occurred.

Perhaps a counter to show remaining damage ticks would be an improvement. Currently, players need to take a risk of if using cleanse/zonyas/whatever-else will actually have a meaningful effect. If the last tick of damage has occurred, then they're wasting a significant cooldown. If it hasn't occurred, then they die. That kind of sucks that players don't have clarity on how the ability is affecting them.

Alternatively, the time damage occurs at can be moved to the end of the second. However, I like the idea that the burning is fading away in stages, so you're on fire for several seconds, and in the last second you're still suffering from your wounds.

Let me know what you think.

This is one of the awesome parts of ignite! Are you going to survive or is there one more tick of damage left? It creates great tension and is also great to spectate.

I agree with this- it's one of the most intense parts of ignite! The awful waiting game of whether you're going to live or not- if you live, you feel great! If you die, your enemy feels great about his timing! It's not a terribly damaging spell in and of itself, but the slow tick down makes for some tense gameplay moment with high points for both teams.

Dont you get a status on your buff/debuff bar that shows the ignite timer?

More clarity would be nice. It's always a guessing game when I decide to pop a pot/zhonyas/etc. But if I were able to see how much damage is left like a little timer above my champion's head or something that'd be awesome.

Probably what you want to know from "Remaining Ticks" is not really the number of the remaining ticks.
It must be the remaining damage. If they do something about this issue, they would show the remaining damage in the Health bar.

I know that buff stacks usually show up, but do damage stacks normally show up? Is it common to have debuff "level" indicators? I thought they mostly remained a mystery as to how powerful they were or what time was left.

So just pop Cleanse/Zhonya's/whatever else earlier. Death is very rarely worth saving those.

Of course if you do and you didn't need it anyways, then you feel kind of stupid. And 300 gold is a lot.

On one hand, this would be wonderful for those of us who are absentminded/new/bad/etc on the other, it's something you eventually get used to and keep in mind how much time you have left on it. It's like playing Lee Sin, you eventually learn his ability-attack cadence and in a way it's a show of skill.

I'm still butthurt about D3's ease of play changes.

I miss back when ignite was intense for me, now the second it's put on me I know if I'm going to live of die...
