How do y'all play Kled?

Finally got to try him yesterday and he's pretty fun. Though I'm not sure how to play him.

I ended up laning against a GP and pretty much lost most trades (it was surprising honestly. But it was my first time so I guess I can't expect to stomp) and I was wondering if it was because I was maxing W over his Q (I grabbed Fervor for my mastery so I expected some synergy).

What do you all max and what keystones do you use? As for builds, BC and GA seem like a must, and getting a hydra really helps clear (I grabbed Ravenous Hydra because I felt I needed some sustain when Skaarl was gone).

GP seems like a bad matchup with his easy ranged harass and the only way for you to really kill is to get into autoattack range (not sure if his oranges cleanses the hook, but it definitely would the slow from the afterpull) because he can easily just back off. Also he can just ignore you altogether and farm.

I go Q-W-E in max order (as well as starting ability order). I use Fervor but I suppose Warlord's might work and I guess Grasp could work but it seems meh imo. Youmuu's/Death Dance seems more core in my opinion, both of which have incredibly useful effects. I'd probably go Scepter->Tiamat->Caulfield's Hammer->Decide whether GB or DD was more important by the time you have enough gold to upgrade->Finish whichever one you didn't after->Finish one of the two Hydra paths BC is good against armor heavy teams though. GA is decent as a later game item. Finishing Ravenous early imo is meh.

Out of the 2 times I've played him I did better jg and did terrible top. First clear or two is the only sucky part after that was pretty smooth and ganks are fun to do

Only played him once, and I out-traded a Riven in early game. Sure she wasn't especially good, but Riven is not one of those champions I expect to out-trade in early... So once I realized that, I just bullied her and I snowballed from there, so it's hard to judge the rest from such a stompy early game, but I did end up 7-0-16.

Built Cleaver into Death Dance, then Ravenous, and was going for Ghostblade when the game ended, but I would probably go for something tankier in a harder match-up, with a Titanic early or something.

And I just blindly followed Champion.gg for skill order, but there seem to be a pretty large consensus that Q>W>E is better. Both most frequent and highest winrate are the same. I guess the problem with W is that you can't rely on it being available at the right time, plus the Q is AoE on minions so it helps more for waveclear.
