I've had the rune picker bug out 4 different times in champion select, forcing me to take a lot of suboptimal runes on champions. I literally don't see why we can't just have some extra rune pages. It doesn't hurt anyone, and players who don't want anymore won't have to make any more. We had 20 mastery pages, and they were less important to gameplay than new runes, so why don't we have 20 rune pages?
So why not just have them fix the bug instead?
Because money. They should have scraped rune pages completely along with the old system if they were trying to streamline the game
I mean, I have 22 pages because I had a ton if blue essence since I own every champ. It was an investment that turned out to be worth it because I put in the time to grind for years and having that all taken away from me would feel pretty shitty. Especially considering I now have like 50k BE and nothing to buy because I already have mastery 7 on the only champions I really play and I own every champ, plus I don't like the chromas much because there are none for champions I play, so all I can do is buy the new champs when they come out. The bug should absolutely be fixed, but asking for more pages for nothing would make me feel cheated, having put in the hours, and there really isn't anything you could give me that would seem like fair compensation.
