Tahm Kench should be able to eat red and blue buff if he has three passive stacks on them.

Kench jungle has the potential to be viable but not overbearing, and I think that this small buff would allow him to be played in the jungle without breaking the game.

Many Tahm mains (myself included) have suggested a compromise for this issue, as riot has previously stated they don't want Tahm eating red/blue buff.

Instead of having Kench be able to devour the buffs, at least let him stack his passive on the baddies.

That way Tahm still wouldn't be able to devour them, but can gain the Q stun and extra damage on autos, helping him out a bit on the buffs.

Even so, this 'buff' isn't entirely needed, as his E passive/shield and devour are incredibly powerful against camps like krugs or raptors, and having a small weakness like this helps balance out his strong jungling.

Either way though, a change like this would be nice.

That is by no means a "small buff".

It's reasonable, but it's a huge buff to his clear.

He should still be able to eat camps

That's not a "small buff". 30% max health damage vs Red and Blue buff is pretty overwhelming.

Yes.

It's annoying I have to "borrow" another camp in order to help take the buffs at current with Tahm. It feels so bad.

ModAcademy Kayn10/21/2017, 8:50:37 PM3 votes

The problem with that, and the problem with letting his passive stack, is that you already have a guy who regens a bunch of the damage he takes. Being able to chunk enemies alongside that, or to stun them, along side his recovery would be extremely potent in clearing camps.

Tahm is very viable in the jungle, particularly because he is able to ignore damage from powerful camps like Krugs and Gromp with a 3 second suppress effect. He doesn't need to W red and blue, he gets a leash with one and has his Q + passive for the other.

Support Kench being able to Devour enemy buffs is a giant headache.

Riot has flat out said they don't want Tahm jungling. So its not gonna happen.

EDIT: I love how this got downvoted.

Im literally repeating what a Riot response said when this exact thread was posted 2 months ago.

Tahm Kench's jg clear is already good. Just save smite for the buffs and eat the other monsters. He is already viable.

no

Elikain10/21/2017, 11:22:34 PM1 votes

We've had this conversation multiple times already and the answer was no he shouldn't. His Devour deals % max HP damage so he doesn't need super speedy clears of the big baddies of the jungle. He's a pretty decent jungler and he has a lot of tongue action damage anyway. He doesn't need "burst" damage on top of that.

I posted this exact same thread 6 months ago and a rioter responded and said they wouldn't do it because it would make kench broken. Don't get your hopes up

As a Tahm main I always want to play jg cuz I can devour and spit raptors causing massive splash dmg, my ult is great for ganks, counter jungling is as simple as stealing the enemy camp over the wall, but all of this smooth jungling is disrupted by the fact that the 2 buffs take too long to kill, especially since W is your biggest damage source.

Fairyfleur10/22/2017, 3:48:32 AM1 votes

While we're at it, let Zyra 's W gain a charge when you kill a large monster?

JoiyGaming10/22/2017, 4:52:10 AM1 votes

kinda like dr.mundo jungle right except the fact that he doesn't really need a buff or nerf to do well

Ebolol10/22/2017, 8:06:32 AM1 votes

Seems like every champ is becoming a jungler these days.... lol

Paroe10/21/2017, 8:00:05 PM1 votes

@thread

Instead of letting tahm eat them, why cant tahm just take a bite out of them...?

Ahri Baka10/22/2017, 9:34:10 PM1 votes

Hmmmmmm many champions abilities works on epic monsters and champions only , like Rakan Q can heal if it hits an epic monster , so I would like it more if he can eat epic monsters on 3 stacks xD

it would be cool to see him securing dragons , not as a jungler but as a support , that would be nice.
