"Nidalee OP"

What's up with the sudden influx of "Nidalee is OP", and "NIdalee has Garen's Ult on lower CD" threads? I'm seeing a ton more people play Nidalee, whereas I used to rarely ever see her at all. This seems to have started after her jungle power got buffed, but as far as I know, no other changes have been made.

So, are people just trying her out in the jungle because of the change, and realizing she's pretty good? If so, it makes me question the legitimacy of not only the meta, but player opinions, if something that was considered balanced/underpowered/situational is suddenly considered overpowered simply because more people are using it.

I enjoyed playing Nidalee but I guess at this rate I can expect her to be nerfed soon.

Well, Nidalee has never not had Garen's ult on a 5 second CD.

Anyway, she got played in the LCS. Hoards of soloq sheep are just doing what they do.

Yes, this is what makes me highly question the legitimacy of the meta.

It's her safety. When she is strong she is straight OP. When she is slightly weak see is really under powered. There is SO much in her kit that straight numbers can not really balance her.

The community hates Nidalee 100% of the time no matter how weak/strong she is, like Riven

Nidalee Nidalee is an amazing champion in the hands of a super skilled player. Her mobility and Q range allow her to do things that other champions cannot achieve. And now with her buff she can effectively clear the jungle monsters however her kit is 100% the same except for her Neutral monsters able to be hunted buff.

Now in the Professional leagues both SK Svenskaren of the EU made her look amazing and also CLG Link of the NA LCS made her look scary as hell.

But when played by a lesser player such as Jankos from the EU she didn't look nearly as dominant.

Nidalee is a very hard champion to play. You need faster reaction times than on any other champion I've played to make her work like a smooth hunting killing machine.

Nidalee is a super long range assassin and her Q is the hardest skill shot i've found to land in the game.

Despite what people say her Q doesn't one shot you. It can do at most half of your life bar if Nidalee is three or four levels above you and you have no Magic Resistance or Health buffs and are a squishy target.

In the hands of the best players Nidalee has the tools to be the best champion. Like Lee Sin and Jarvan 4 who both see way more action than her anywhere in Lol.

Seriously though, yes you should question the legitimacy of player opinions because there will always be QQing people on literally anything that sees the light of play.

Nidalee is sort of feast or famine. Don't give her kills early, and you'll notice her presence isn't that great. Ward up, she'll have a harder time getting picks and ultimately, won't do much at all in teamfights. She's disgusting when fed just like Riven, Fiora, etc. but she's not really overpowered.
