I had a game where i was 0/7/20-ish taric and there was a guy purposely ignoring anything i had to say because i was a lowly support with a 0 K and 7+ D (because nobody cares about assists). But whenever i made a call that he ignored he died, or got everyone else killed.
I remember telling him one time "Don't go toward baron, its a trap theyre baiting" and he goes "lol" and proceeds to face check the baron island brush and die with everyone else. Then as they just pushed right up mid and destroyed our nexus, my team was telling me "Fucking do something taric omfg idiot"
Cool story, right?
Just your every day adc. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Let me guess.Vayne/Draven?
Tired of this stereotype of the adc being the devil incarnate. The truth is that most of the time somebody gets stuck in the support role and is a bad support, then rages at the adc when they do bad.
Deary. After maining support for a long time, i think i know what most adc's are like.
Supports act like assholes too i agree. But more often than not its the adc whih is the asshole.
The thing is that since you're the support most of the time if you're a support main, you don't see nearly as many of the other supports. So you really can't give a valid perspective from your side of the argument.
Luckily this season i main top shen. GUess what. Still see more adc abuse than support abuse.
Why can't we just agree that being an idiot isn't role specific?

No. More often than not it's the idiot that's the asshole. The difference is that the adc role is more stressful since you're the primary target in nearly any situation. People that do bad there get feedback far quicker and easier than other roles, so they take it out on their support. To boot, their support may also be doing a poor job of keeping pressure off of them in lane. A support that sits idle for too long or wanders off roaming too long too often is the next worse thing after a support straight feeding.
No it isnt. Adc role is not stressfull at all, or hard at all. Adc is a rangedd champion which can safely farm from range and most of them have escapes. Adc also gets a support which protects his useless ass until he gets farmed enough todo something.
Adc role is notas stressfull as jungler or support. Hell i can even say that adc is the easiest and least stressfull than any other.

Except you're wrong...
Adcs have the "honor" of being on EVERYONE'S hit list. To boot, bot lane is right damn next to dragon, a high priority jungle camp. Bot lane parties happen way more often during the early game, where one's fate for the long haul is usually decided unless someone fks up and gives the dude some kills. Adcs have to be high priority targets that lane closest to a high priority camp, all while being really squishy and easy to kill if they're pinned down. Supports don't have to worry about people dedicating their entire team fighting strategy to "kill that dude right there"...outside of Soraka.
Now sure, people shift focus as the game goes on, but their focus defaults on the adc until someone else proves to be a bigger problem.
Actually YOU are wrong...what you say only happens for the first 5..maybe 10 minutes...after that everyone is all over the place(at least at common games)...so don't flatter yourself by saying you are public enemy No.1...the enemy wants a kill and they don't care who it is...plus if they are after someone I would think it is the Jungler or top since if you kill the top laner you can bring down his tower easy while if you kill the ADC there is still someone holding the line till the jungler comes to help
Except im not. Adc has to have only 1 skill and only 1 job. That is positioning and doing damage. That is all the adc needs to know. And adc's arent on everyones hit list. Apc miders are usually the ones. ONly then does adc come into play.
You say that adcs are easy to kill if pinned down. Yea, just like most other champs exccept for tanks. YOu do realise that you have range? You have escape skills? Only like 3 adc's dont have any reliable escape.
Adc is the safest class in the game.
Supports dont have to worry about keeping themselves alive, that is right.
YOu know what supports job is? Its to keep the rest 4 playersin their team alive. Oh wow, you mr adc need to keep yourself alive? WELL I HAVE TO KEEP THE WHOLE TEAM ALIVE!
No, the truth is the adc (Usually Vayne) blames the support for everything that goes wrong in the lane.
"OMG SONA Y AREN'T U MAXING HEAL"
I can count the amount of non toxic vayne players I have faced on two hands, out of maybe 70-100 games with one
I'll agree, Vayne's have even statistically proven to be one of the most toxic players. But there's still this circlejerk of blaming the adc's with everything and idolizing the supports like they're golden gods. Yes, a lot of the time adc's are assholes. But there's also a LOT of asshole support players. But there's this ongoing circlejerk on the boards that makes it seam like the adc is always at fault, when it goes both ways.

do u have a source for these "statistics"
AND can we just point out that the bottom of the list (Both the original and revised in the comments) are all supports while the top of the list is all ADC's and assassins?
Supports unionized.
Yep unionized is a good word for that :P I'd also argue that support mains make up the majority of nicer and more willing to communicate players in soloque.
Put down heal
takes heal instantly
tells about 10 seconds till full heal potential (every match btw)
[rinse repeat]
oom
dies... "wtf why no heal report sup"
supports mid from now on
Happens every time i play bard
Or you could just let the pros play bard because soloQ is not a place for that support...
what does pros PLAYING bard have to do with the fact that his TEAMMATES are idiots?
what does pros PLAYING bard have to do with the fact that his TEAMMATES are idiots?
by pros, he probably means competitive play (LCS etc), people there got perfect communication, but, in soloQ, thats a different story my friend.
Regardless, how is that an excuse for teammates not knowing how bard works? I play Bard a lot in soloQ and I'll admit that he does lose potential when not played with a team with perfect communication, but he's still a good support as long as your team understands Bard and what he does. If people don't understand what he does (very little excuse for that if they are lvl 30), then you can explain it to them, and if they still refuse to play around his kit then it's their fault, not Bard's. When people don't click on
's lantern when he throws it well, it's their fault for not understanding their support, not thresh's fault for playing a "high communication LCS champ".
Your KDA isn't 0 btw it's ~2.9. But yeah when people think KDA is everything -.-
'wtf dont ks me you idiot' 'wow you suck ass at the game you dont have a single kill'
:C
'wtf dont ks me you idiot' 'wow you suck ass at the game you dont have a single kill'

This all day. For every league of top/mid, there out to be an instructional "yes I agree that assists matter" check box before entering the game. This all goes back to that myth of talent being innate and that some folks have it; some don't.
Last night was playing a game as
with
.
I'm shielding Quinn but this kid really likes to dive into zyra and get rooted, so I'm doing everything I can to keep them alive. So, they get down to about 25% health and we're against
.
LVL 4: 25% health
LVL 5: 25% health - I am oom from shielding them constantly and knocking up the enemy for the escape.
LVL 6:
ults, I try to block the shot, but
is moving, my shield is still on cd and I'm oom, and
dies.
: You are so freaking useless. You just want me to die.
: I kept you alive at 25% health with shields for sooooo long, and you just waited around for
to hit 6 and ult you. Who really wants you to die?
: You suck, what do your shields even do?
Ended the game 1/6/26. I got yelled at multiple times for being useless by
and
, but I kept them alive as best I could and got them as fed as possible. A Bronze 2
came out ahead of a Gold 5
. Must be their skill...
Your story has been heard my friend, and I sympathize.
It's especially delicious when you're 0/5-10 from all the times you successfully forced them to kill you instead of the ADC, created a diversion that allowed the rest of your team to escape or claim an objective, or were caught trying to ward the jungle because you're the only one on the team who isn't yet willing to relinquish complete control of the map to the enemy.
I once had a guy tell me to shut up because I was 0/6 and he was 5/6. I was about 0/6/25 or so and he was 5/6/15 or so.
lmao
Come on guys assists are a fake stat He says sarcastically
Man if assists weren't counted towards kda I would go from a 5.0kda to a 1.2kda lol.
0/6/30
: "Sona you're trash stop feeding"
9/3/20
: "Sona stop ks'ing you're ruining the game"
Supports have it rough. Being forced to bodyguard the whiniest role in the game.
The thing is, I seem to see a ton of Sonas with Death Cap who think that they are playing support despite not upgrading their basic support item and selling it at 40 minutes.
Because the poke support item falls off horribly and its utility is too unreliable, better have some actual AP and be a third threat like you're supposed to do as mage supp.
If you do that, at least own up to it instead of pretending like you're carrying with a full support build. I've seen too many support Sonas who have done that.
I don't really get what you mean.
What I mean is that I have heard a Sona once say "Wow I have the most kills and I'm the support." in all chat. If you're gonna build AP, don't act like you are the support and that these plebs don't know how to get any kills.
Oh. Well, I wouldn't approve of such attitude on any member of the team, with any build.
I knew this guy (who was horrid and hated) who would go ahead and instantly start building "carry" sona if he had the slightest inkling that his adc "sucked". Would KS and steal creep like crazy, AND thought it was funny and that he was a great support.
P.S. about 90% of the time he considered his adc "useless"
"Don't take my farm you idiot!"
I know, but...
I only did attack minions when I had charges on the damn thing, and as the ADC (who were platinum IV btw) apparently didn't get that, I didn't know what to say.
How come seemingly so few people knows what the Face of The Mountain-item series do? Everyone know of the shield, but apparently "no one" knows about the gold sharing and the heal. :/

Dude supports who know how to use
I bless them and shower them in hugs as an ADC. When I play Leona support I always save my charges for a fight, I lock them down, and as my ADC is about to die but the enemy ADC is about to die, I hit a minion give them health and they get a double kill.
Most satisfying thing xD
The moment when the ADC stops attacking the siege minion to let you last hit it.

Aye - happens only in ~1/8 matches. It's rather worrying, actually. :/
OR you see those fed ADCs / mid just run up to that minion wave you've been smacking it for so long (during mid / late game) and destroy it, even though u just needed that 1 more hit to give everyone that extra gold.
but noooooooooooo, you have been denied and are still sitting at 4 stacks after 3 full minion waves.
I feel your pain. I spend a lot of time as the 1/7/24 tank.
I like when people tell me my KDA sucks... I main singed.
