Please keep Tyler1 banned forever Riot
Like seriously, He stands as the greatest example of what should happen when you are consistently toxic in game, and should remain that way. To show mercy would defeat the purpose of the ban.

Why? there is a mute button use it. Riot is honestly tailoring towards soft kids that cry and complain about what someone said and what they put in chat. JUST MUTE THEM AND MOVE ON!
Nah
Unban my boi
Cleanest Draven
in NA
With people like Zirene speaking of good experiences with tyler and giving him props on the 180, I don't see how an unban defeats the purpose of the ban. Continuing to ban him defeats the purpose, it just shows that even if you change your attitude and yourself to be a better person that it won't matter. It pretty much sends the message of if you get punished for being toxic, no point in changing.

^ He's had like 19 trys to get it right, no more chances
When people shut up about it, then he'll probably get unbanned.
They didn't care about banning him till he became a popular streamer. They can never truly ban him (or anyone) he is just on the "permaban on sight status" If he gets unbanned, it just means that he will no longer have his accounts banned on sight.
It doesn't matter what side of the argument you are on. This is likely the dumbest thing to talk about on the internet right now. Someone broke the rules and now they are suffering the consequences. There is nothing more to the story. The rest is between him and Riot. Don't waste your breath on this meaningless topic.
I love how the consensus among most pro players and even players known for their positiveness is that he is reformed and that he should at least be allowed to make a new account. But when you come to this board filled with anal players that report over everything you still constantly bitch about even the thought of un-banning him. HOW is he not reformed? And what is the point of changing for the better if you still have people like you who remain pissed off no matter what?
[proudly since beta] If RIOT had the hardware signature ban this wouldn't even be the issue as the post might concern, keep the toxicity out.
create new emails, new accounts, refresh IP, VPN, buy acounts, 20 something accounts banned and still goes on, it's simply RIOT's failure for creating this loophole themselves, and then "only" indefinite bans the public streamer, and overlook those players who practices letting off their steams in-game and give up playing, just because they are not streaming.
Tyler1 ain't the problem, he is just the one of the many, he got taken care of because he was making RIOT look bad on public stream, countless players does this and may or may not get banned when people just doesn't report after game, so if you do x9 report and got one toxic account banned, they can always create a new one, for ranked players, plenty of cheap high tier accounts for sale out there, making toxicity boosting the infinite loophole[especially no more runes to grind now].
For I do agree with the post that toxic players waste our time just so they can send out a message that they couldn't take pressure and decide to do whatever they see fit, banned or not, there's a place for people just like that, a small room that takes your freedom of wasting people's effort called prison, if they dare practice their usual behavior in the real world.
Back to RIOT's part in this, hardware ban, how many new parts these players gonna buy/change until they feel it's not worth their time anymore? I would suggest try it and find out, because right now as it seems, RIOT is just promoting negative behaviors due to their lack of control.
So to the post, RIOT has been always, defeating the purpose of their own code and rules from their own loophole, especially with the world events and competition nature of this game, they want people to take e-sports seriously, but easily branded as promoting unethical behavior due to their ban system, toxic/software cheating/mmr boost cheating, you can do above those pema ban behavior, and be right back in game in no time.
So showing mercy or not, I don't think RIOT has any purpose or example shown from the beginning till now, it won't surprise me if said players will keep playing, and tyler1 gets unbanned.
Just.....enjoy the game as it goes, mute them if they get whiny, but don't get your hopes high when it comes to banning players, they can always create new accounts, and RIOT doesn't even care if those accounts are not streaming and making their public image bad.
If they care? well then we would already have hardware ban or something similar to "control" player behavior, and this post won't even be here.
The last couple of interactions between Tyler1 and Riot employees has been Riot employees being very rude and Tyler1 shrugging it off. If they dont unban him it shows that the Reforming mindset is BS.
Here's the thing, I feel like i can agree, and disagree with what you say OP. So let's agree to disagree on some things here. He's toxic by definition because he's a streamer, that's why he has the attitude he has. it's the way he's handled himself in prior games, and games that he played after league as well. it's his form of "character" when he streams. Off stream, He is not anything like that. And he's been showing promise in regards to his streams. He's still immature - but he's not nearly as bad as he used to be. Figure this. You're a popular streamer, you have a character to uphold. "Most toxic draven player NA" and then you get banned off of your favorite game. Sure, nobody forced him to be that way. but that IS his persona on twitch. He has videos of him playing on alts where he did NOT troll the game, he didn't say anything rude in the game, he didn't int, and he played WELL. He still got banned for it because people claimed it was Tyler playing (he is, and was perma banned from the game at this point.)
The thing is, Tylers personality in terms of his streams conflict with how he should be playing the game, which is why it's highly likely he will be unbanned at some point if he shows good promise to Riot. He's a REALLY good draven player, And beyond that, he's still upholding a high MMR on other champions. He's better at league than the vast majority of people claim he is, and he's a lot better than most people who have some form of an issue with him because "he's a toxic piece of shit." when they don't realize it's just his stream persona, he was toxic for entertainment. which is why his twitch chat is usually filled to the brim with trolls. He attracted that audience with the persona he used. And it worked out great for him. But it also bit him in the ass. (By causing him to get perma'd.)
Think about it. If you had the opportunity to become a very popular, well known player, and you were great at the game - but you had to be "toxic" to entertain. (that's his persona) you'd do it if you were growing REALLY hard, right? Because it's exciting. He didn't think it'd lead to this and neither did many of his fans. I am personally a fan of tyler and i can also say he made a big mistake letting it go on so far with so many warnings. But once again, people DO make mistakes and sometimes it takes a hell of a hard hit to get the point across.. Sure, it might be a 30th or 40th chance in his case. But he was NEVER perma banned from the game and unable to stream it. Anyone whos typically banned can make a new account and just play again. or in many cases- buy them (I don't condone this.) The fact, is that he didn't know it'd come to him having an indefinite ban. Which is why he continued doing what he did. Yes, it's wrong, But it also makes sense. He's popular BECAUSE of league. He's popular BECAUSE he was toxic. It worked well for him.
The point is that i'm sure tyler, if given a chance, will act responsibly when it comes to not being toxic, and not ruining games. Hopefully, by the end of reading this - you aren't tilted, and maybe have come to some sort of agreement in your mind that tylers twitch personality is the reason this whole thing blew up the way it did. And he's been acting a lot better. Truthfully, tyler is doing as much as he can to be unbanned. He's serious when he claims this is his favorite game. Put yourself in his shoes and try to see him eye to eye for a minute and determine wether or not you'd like a chance to show your FAVORITE game developers that you can, and will be better, just to have the chance to play the game at all. Thanks for taking the time to read this, god bless.
The purpose of punishment is to teach the person what they did wrong, and have them understand it. If you create an infinite punishment for a finite action, its actually illogical and inhumane. But not everyone is morally just in this world among humans. But Tyler1 has proven that he can be not toxic, and he has proven that he is able to play the game again and learned his lesson. If you cannot forgive, than you are nothing more than a sad person who has no faith. Let me ask you this question, If you shoot someone in the face, you deserve a life for a life yes? Correct. But knowing that there is an afterlife, does this person deserve to burn in "hell" for all eternity for a finite action? Even if the person shot me in the face, i would forgive them because i would not wish that kind of punishment on anyone. Learn, Forgive, Prosper~
