Plants?

So after a TON of posts and comments on the plants when they were first announced, things seemed to have died down recently.

Just curious, how do you guys like the plants now? Yay or nay?

I love plants. Their fun, allow sick plays with blasting cone, and don't ruin the game. Overall good addition IMO

Nay. #1 Reason is the reason a lot of people like them. Utility.

The Ziggs plant lets you troll your team mates, more then once I've been knocked away from a kill by my teammate accidentally/or not accidentally autoing a plant. Also you can now jump into baron/drag from the back, a thing once only exclusive to people with dashes or teleports is now given to every single champ.

Vision plant useful I guess, really just seems like a gimmick to be honest.

Health, super overpowered. Saw a comment when plants came about and I'll repeat it now, heal worth over slow 100% of the time.

Expect them here to stay though.

Nay!

Blast cone: I like playing champs like Sejuani, who has a dash and could steal dragon and just flash back and be completely safe. Now I have to be weary that every jungler can do that (But I have gotten in the habit of pulling the dragon out so it should still be hard for them to steal but without a loss of Flash, even if it was secured, it just isn't worth). Easy trolling of teammates for non Trundle players. An overall nuisance to be bothered with. Now I have to keep track of more things in the jungle. I already have to be thinking about:

  1. My own clear- which has now gotten harder with Krugs dividing and the Raptors having so many tiny ones [Though Sejuani's W is perfect for them]
  2. Enemy Counter jungling - Hi Kindred.
  3. Securing Buffs and thinking of giving blue to mid if they are good.
  4. When I can gank I) Top lane. II) Mid lane. III) Bot lane. And proceed to consider I) Are they a carry hard champion? II) Do they have CC for me to gank? III) What health are they at? IV) Their own status i) Mana ii) score iii) Their cool downs iv) Builds [I don't question builds. I just won't take the risk if a mage is having a Attack Speed High Critical Chance Build] Enemy Status i) Health? ii) Mana? iii) Cool downs! iv) Score? v) Fed, same level, underneath? Vi) Build [What should I be worried about when I gank?] vii) Their location? viii) CC? Escape? ix) Summoner Spells! x) The Champion in that lane
  5. Counter gank for when my top laner, mid laner, or bot laners are pushed.
  6. Me Counter jungle- I personally only do this when I see the enemy jungler ganking the opposite side of the map
  7. Dragon I) Taking it and always remembering to pull it out and testing to see if enemy has it warded. II) Warding it. III) Fighting for it. IV) Stealing it.
  8. Rift Herald - Hey! You will never know when someone tries to take it though I do not care about it.
  9. Level I) Mine in comparison to the laner I am ganking. II) My laner to their laner III) My own cs
  10. Flame from laners that I have yet to gank
  11. Flame from laners where I have died ganking Ganks everywhere! When taking Blue or Red Buff, I'd get in the habit to check the brush to make sure the enemy doesn't counter jungle me when taking said buff. Now I have to be worried about blast cone as an alternative method of saying "Surprise!" Guess I have to waste time blasting the cone before going to my buffs now.

EDIT (My Return):

Vision Fruit: I do not like how Riot replaced Raptor Smite Buff with this thing. Due to the law of math... I have to patiently angle my champion to get the best angle possible for sight (Okay. A little nit picky but generalize it). And this does not always help me with my smite item. Get Chilling Smite on one champion means I want wards to give vision on Dragon and Baron. I could get Raptor buff to see about them being warded. Now I have a dilemma. I could either keep Chilling Smite and get Oracle Alteration- meaning I, the jungler, cannot get Vision (aside from Control Wards)- or get Trackers Knife, get Oracle Alteration (why have Knife and Wards? Might as well deny the enemy vision) but lose the slow, true damage on champions. For some champions, this isn't an issue. But for other champions where Chilling Smite is apart of my gank, then I lose that cc and have to rely more heavily on my champion and (most importantly) my allies cc, if they have any at all! That is a dilemma I am now facing.

Healing Fruits: Good for Laners; out of the way for Junglers. I cannot use this fruit to my benefit. The heal and mana regain is fair but I can't just say: "Oh. I am low on health but I wish to continue jungling. I will just take a heal fruit and continue on jungling." While granted, it could be more useful for those who are going to gank via the River (Bot lane) so one could fill up on HP and Mana before ganking, it is time lapsing situation where that slow and attempted heal can make a golden opportunity completely missed. Or just say "hi" to the enemy jungler. But my main issue is just that it is out of the way.

Healing plants need rework or removal. Far too accessible to laners.
