Can Zed not be able to cast abilities or Auto attack during his Ult Untargetable animation?

Zed is able to proc his Duskblade by auto attacking while using E,Q during his ult animation sometimes. I don't know if it's suppose to be intended but being able to do damage while being untargetable during the animation is kinda unfair.
