Why was raw elo replaced by promos exactly?

To test your level of playing at the elo your being promoted to, acts as a gate although I can agree its albeit dumb and stupid.

raw elo was a better test of skill since it tested personal skill instead of rolling the dice to see which team gets more feeders in promos

It does get bored doesn't it. Getting stuck in silver. I'm losing the satisfaction in ranked because my opponent just dies like 3 times in laning phase against me making obvious blunders. Sometimes they just get so countered in pickscreen that its just unentertaining for 30 mins. And also my allies die like 2 or 3 times more than me. It's like "This is not the game im supposed to be in".

Right now I don't even care about my rank, whenever I look up my statistics I am always playing with higher elo players than me which means that I have a higher MMR then my rank which I'm honestly fine with.
