Can we get Auto Attack animation improvements across the board?

On champions whose AA animations make it ridiculously difficult to CS with, I mean.

Is there really any reason why, for example, Anivia has to have 2/3x as much difficulty last hitting until level 6 as...say...Syndra?

It doesn't feel like a genuine challenge, it doesn't feel like you're being skillful to time it differently, it just feels like you're being handicapped by outdated animations...

It seems that someone checked my LolKing and noticed I'm a big fan of Karthus Karthus , and now everyone thinks this is about him?

I think Karthus AA animation is way too easy to cancel, but I'm fine with it because your Q is supposed to be used for last-hitting, and your E functions as an instantaneous auto attack if used skillfully. He has enough CS'ing tools as it is. This isn't a complaint about Karthus at all.

This is more about champions whose slow AA speed feels completely arbitrary, like they just didn't think about how bad it was when they programmed it, or they just don't care because the champion is old. (While newer champions get excellent AA animations regardless of their kit strength. Like Azir. His AA animation is fantastic. Very quick and reliable. They didn't make it horrible to force you into cs'ing with your soldiers.)

Quinn's arrows can be literally half way to their target and you can still cancel the animation :l

THIS is why it's so frustrating to play against Caitlyn. It's not her range thats op, it's her attack animation. It has ZERO windup. If you walk into her range, you get autoattacked twice - once for entering her range, and again because she started her attack one iota-nano-millisecond before you left her aa range.

Compared to someone like ezreal or corki - you walk into their range, and the entire auto attack has to play and be in the air before it's a guaranteed hit.

If they ever cleaned up Blitzcranks auto attack animation to make autoattack/e/hydra activation less clunky I'd start running that glorious golden bastard top again.

Any ranged champ that can cancel their animation when the projectile is mid-flight and get no damage on it needs to be looked at. Which is... an absurdly large number of champs.

Anivia is intentionally made with a bad animation since she's supposed to have a hard time until 6.

Wouldn't have upvoted if not for the edit. Not that I don't agree with you, I'm just neutral about it. But the original point of the thread, like most things in life, seemed to go over every lowlife troll's head to the point that they actually investigated your profile, which is, in itself, a dick move.

Lee sin and Teemo need fixed as well, Right clicking on something to quickly can actually cause you to not attack it at all for some reason on these 2.

I don't mind clumsy AA so long as when I release the auto it hits and doesn't cancel/pop mid air or hit when its clearly finished releasing or making contact which is a very real problem for a lot of champs.

I find Janna's AA needlessly slow and unresponsive compared to every other support. Way too easy to cancel. Even if it is one of the better looking AA's.

Malzahar and Vlad both have really bad animations, but to be honest I consider each to be appropriately bad. Malz has his E which can clear an entire wave, as well as his passive to help early on.

Vlad, on the other hand, is supposed to have a hard laning phase in exchange for his truly disgusting late game.

I think a lot of these are intentional, and frankly, champions like Syndra, with a powerful lategame and even laning phase, should probably have bad animations to compensate.

I find TwistedFate's AA has a very, very slight delay and I find it harder to last hit with him sometimes.

This hurts his early game more than anything but it's still annoying.

Not to mention that his Alien Invader Skin does not use his laser pistol :/

I have this problem with jinx rockets sometimes. On more than one occasions I have launched a rocket at someone under a turret for the finishing blow, and it cancels right before it hits them. They walk away alive with brown pants.

If they could also make Anivia's in game model and splash art NOT as ugly as sin, that would be great too.

The most challenging part about playing her is looking at her...

It's not a life-or-death improvement. But it'd be really fun to have. Considering every champion that wasn't a jungler/support all had pretty optimized AA.

It's defiantly true. A lot of them need fixes, but mostly about the when the projectile counts as a projectile.

Most champions with slow AA's have it for a reason. Your Anivia for example has an AA range of 600. More than most rADC's. Top it off with the level of security she has pack in her kit. Do you really want her viable as an ADC? Because that'll be what happens if the make her AA animation too good. Most of the slow AA's are simply to add a level of challenge to their laning. Or that making them good would make them too good in lane(for example Swain could QEaa for a lot of targeted damage).

But there for sure needs to be some fixes on the projectiles.
