also i think he is balanced because his pool is 20% of his health. meaning he cant use it at full hp or hes gonna take a huge chunk out..

Have you ever played Swain? summoner 14 and item 3165 ruin his day, and any champion with a way to avoid his W (be it a dash, a speed boost, etc.) can completely avoid Swain. Anyone with % health damage and any magic/armor penetration can easily outdo him in DPS if they're smart enough to avoid his W, and even if they are snared, it's not difficult for burst mages to aim at the point-blank range Swain in front of them (or ADCs to right-click him to death). Swain thrives when you don't fight back, like Nautilus. He's meant to hold you still and do decent damage while you panic. Sure, melee champions tend to get #rekt by Swain if they have no way to get in his face, but nearly every other champion (including those same immobile melees, if they have enough brain cells to buy item 3211 and/or item 3111 ) stands a fair chance.

If you read my post, you might realize that I'm saying that you're wrong. An all-AD composition can still have multiple ignites, and a full AD team means that it's very likely that they'll all be building some form of armor penetration. Consider how much armor your 100 armor Swain will effectively have when all of his foes have Black Cleavers, Last Whispers, and Youmuu's Ghostblades.

Armor pen doesn't matter when he's healing your damage. Did you ever think of using zhonya' while ignited? Don't you think we tried this on top of building MR? He's unkillable.

So you're complaining because you lost to a Swain? Typical.

I don't see zero deaths under Swain's name— apparently, he's not unkillable.

You have two ignites on your team. Zhonya's active isn't longer than the duration of two ignites. Your Morgana could have built Morellonomicon. You, personally, were weak to Swain because Twitch has no good way to avoid his snare. Poppy and Hecarim didn't build armor penetration. I'm guessing Swain was fed by Hecarim, or was it Poppy?

That's not the point. The point is that armor pen and ignite did not help. I dodged all of his roots but he also has a target slow. What I'm saying is that Vlad has cool downs which you can work around to inflict damage and CC. Swain has constant damage and sustain as long as he has the mana for it. He has an AoE root and a target slow. The more people that focus him the more sustain he gets. I find Vlad more manageable than Swain.

You're probably finding Vlad more manageable because he has low range and almost no CC. Yes, Swain's targeted Q slow is strong against immobile characters, such as Twitch. That Swain ruffled your feathers (kek) because you met him after one of your allies fed him to the point of almost-no-return. Nearly any champion with 21 kills would be nearly unstoppable.

If that Swain did as badly as your Hecarim, you would have been able to walk up and auto him to death without blinking, perhaps without even using Expunge. He has cooldowns— his W CD is comparable to Vlad's troll pool's CD. Your particular Swain built nearly as much CDR as is possible, and he had some from his masteries (Sorcery). He was simply fed to the point that he seemed unfair; this is normal for nearly any champion.

immobile, short-ranged, ultimate is weak without a team dedicated to AOE and smart enough to benefit from it, reliant on healing mechanics , nerfed nearly to the point of being unviable because Riot hates spell vamp You should be a comedian.

it will. It's just a matter of time. CD of pool is too low, and the cd start at the begining of the pool not at the end like fizz.

2 obvious nerf in the next few months is the cd of W will start at the end of the pool. or pool CD will be increased. and zonhya might freeze CD too.

It's actually intolerable that challenger players can 1vs3 or 1vs4 without any counterplay lategame. and i see a trend in challenger that player exploit more and more the magic build, so the nerf is close imo.

And i see that most people here dont get the point. vladimir is impossible to kill, because he's untargetable.

basically he deal damage then pool, then deal damage then zonhya, then deal damage then pool then deal damage then GA etc etc, there is no counterplay to untargetable champ.

But he can be countered. so freaking hard. champions with hard engage, gap closers can burst him down. but honestly i want no one to know about him because he is my favorite champion.
