Did anyone quit their main role for ADC this season?

The third option will be for people who simply swapped their main role and instead have ADC as their primary role with the secondary role being their old primary role.

Did the opposite, adc feels pointless to try to carry on when so many champions invalidate you if they get even slightly ahead. Even if you're fed on adc, a reasonably ahead assassin will just one shot you.

I mean, Assassins counter marksmen, and that's like the point of a counter. Maybe they shouldn't 1 shot you, but they need to still be able to kill you easily if you are out of position.

If only it just punished you for being out of position. Alot of the times its literally just that you showed on the map.

Voted no, but I am about to, for 2 reasons:

1.) No point in maining Azir when Riot doesn't know what to do with him anyway and just keeps him in a gutted or "normal" state. (his mobility has to go and we can't get a balanced emperor until this happens)

2.) I like playing ADCs in ARAM, the role is interesting and I wanna easymode carry my games when I'm ahead as well.

I don't think people would swap their main to a class that plays unlike all the rest. Playing what they already know and are experienced with is more enjoyable for most people.

Honestly, my main role is fill. I select that with hope that I get variety in the roles I play. I was a Jinx main (almost one trick) before but decided that playing the same thing again and again was getting boring. This was seasons ago. Sadly, when I select fill, I'm stuck getting support 85% of the time. The other 10% is for jungling, and the last 5% is divided among the other three roles. The good news is that I have proof to make a thread telling Riot that the support role is unattractive, and there needs to be more incentives to play it.

I know someone who is a top laner who felt like he had no effect over the game so he has now started playing adc.

This is about to be me.

I have main'd Top (secondary of jung) almost my entire LoL career. No matter how good I do in lane, by the time I am using teleport to help ganks or teamfighting in general is started, my end game utility is pointless.

Take for instance Nasus. Yes, wither is nice, and the armor shred. But by the time I am team fighting, there is a high likelyhood that I don't have enough mitigation for their carry. You buy armor/mr initially to mitigate some damage during laning. So if I am vs a Swain or Vlad or Cass top lane, and buy early MR, but their ADC is fed, I'm screwed. Not to mention, lets say the game does get to 30+ mins and I have 600 stacks. By this time, their ADC already has Lord Dominicks and kills me with 6 auto's. Even with Thornmail.

Now, all this said, I have carried teams with my nasus that were trying to /ff for the last 15 mins of the game...but it is becoming increasingly harder to carry as a tank with all the mobility champs have now.

I used to "attempt" ADC, but that was back before being able to pick roles. Now it might be better with people that might actually be somewhat competent in their support role. I realize I'm not going to win every game. Riot designs it to be 50/50. But lately, I'm not even getting that.

See but here's where I think the trouble starts, someone starts to believe they are a superior ADC into comparison of their original role. If you're a god at your role even if it feels like super hard to carry sometimes, eventually you're going to get that ADC who has been doing it for quite a long time and knows the ins and outs, how to attack speed move, when and where to engage, then when they need that top laner for their extra bit of engage, you'll be playing in another game as ADC instead of top with that good adc you could've been paired with to carry. I like to be the black sheep personally so to prevent as much casualty as possible, because so many players are just playing ADC out of no where after playing their past 15 games of MID or Top, as a support main, I'll check out their credibility and purposely enforce a passive lane depending on whether the person mains adc or is just there because they feel like it. Either way, I get to keep them from feeding so that my laners have a chance.

My main roles every season were something in the lines of Mid--> Jungle-->Support-->Top-->Adc but now it's more like Mid ->Adc -> Jungle->Top->Support
