I have a few questions about Varus

  • If Varus's (W - Blighted Quiver) makes his Arrows Blighted then why is his Q and E not affected by this considering they are both Arrow based abilities?

  • Shouldn't both abilities apply the flat bonus Magic Damage?

  • Why is his W bonus Magic Damage limited only as an On-Hit Effect?

This sort of just crossed my mind and it got me thinking..

I know that this would technically be a buff but I would be willing to have something nerfed or removed to have this be a thing.

i also have an question about varus.

Why tf havent they given his base skin a vu when they changed his lore from "vengeful archer corrupted from some ancient corruption" to "2 dudes 1 darkin" to make him look more darkin like? like I didnt even know varus was a darkin from looking at him.

Yeah that too I guess, but I gave up on all that since I couldn't get Riots attention even when I posted my own visual changes to his model (on Reddit and LoLBoards).

I mean, we're basing what Darkin look like off just two champions. Aatrox Kayn

All the void creatures look vastly different from each other, makes sense Darkin can as well. Chogath Khazix KogMaw RekSai Velkoz

Sure the void creatures are mostly purple, but then Kog'maw completely breaks that, and I wouldn't say Cho'gath and Velkoz look anything alike.

I think it would be a good change, his E would actually become hurtful to stand in.

However, another addition I think would be great would be for Varus to be able to upgrade his E with his W, not just his Q.

So he can alternate between a stronger Q for sniping or a stronger E for sustained AOE damage.

I thought about too a while ago but soon was told that such buffs would be too much so I stopped suggesting further changes of such scale.

It would be pretty pointless overall as a buff. Putting a stack of blight onto something AFTER you just used the execution of it doesn't really make much sense other than I guess you would only need 2 autos to get the other proc off, but even then it's negligible at best.

Eh, I'm not sure that they should buff AP varus anymore. He's kinda hidden OP, and I'd like to avoid that becoming more recognized

True. But I think that could be resolved if his W % Max HP damage didn't scale with Bonus AP (having something like this scale, isn't really healthy to begin with).

I mean it's healthier than having whole kits scale with AD as if it was AP, and they've got plenty of those at this point.

Honestly, they should make his W on-hit similar to Kai'sa passive: the more stacks on the enemy the more damage the on-hit does, with a reduction to the initial damage to compensate, maybe.

Kinda miffed they didn't go through with the buff to his Q, but he did get the bugfix that's been in for who knows how long so that's something at least.
