Idk why people here get jealous over Riot discussing with Reddit more than here

Like, I spent one solid day trying to "discuss" on these boards and I straight up lost my mind. I don't think you COULD pay someone to want to deal with the blatant hyperbole, hysteria, and blatant lying that goes on around here, so why expect it?

Like I had I worse mental attitude talking to people on here about their horribly construed thoughts on the game than people tend to have actually playing the game. Kinda says something.

And before someone gets their pants bunched up: The point of this thread is to state that if people want actual lucrative conversation, threads made here need to be held at a higher standard. Random dribble about X designer or balance team member or Ghostcrawling individual needing to be fired needs to stop. When people just randomly fly out into the open with the most ridiculous claims on champion balance/design, they should NOT be upvoted 113 times just because the champion in discussion is Zed/Yasuo/Zoe. Like, you'd think there'd be more people around that'd set the hysterical posts straight, but there isn't, and it's amazing how strong the circle jerk is these days. I honestly don't see why anyone would want to wade in here to try to talk to these boards.

As someone who frequents both Reddit and the Boards... the Boards like to act like they're better than Reddit, but honestly they are just as bad. Sometimes they're worse.

Like honestly most of the time when I come to the boards I just leave either annoyed or sad, and this doesn't happen anywhere near as often with Reddit. Of course both have their big faults but honestly in my experience the Boards and the people on it wear out their welcome WAY faster than Reddit does, probably because all it ever is is endless bitching about something or other, and even the valid complaints have 5 or 6 posts on the front page at once, as if we didnt hear the first time.

At least on Reddit some funny videos get voted up on a regular basis as well (I believe at this time of writing a really wacky Ivern recall video is one of the top posts)

Tbh I see it the other way around. Reddit tends to act like its superior when it isn't. Not to mention moderation on Reddit is a lot more draconian than it is here.

I mean, they're kinda right. People bellyache about the craziest shit, right? Difference is that on here, it gets mass upvoted. On Reddit, it doesn't because all the upvoted stuff are usually streamer/LCS oriented. Sometimes things go awry over there, but it's not nearly as bad as some shit like "CertainlyT should have his longest rib removed so I can stab his eye out with it" being upvoted 87 times. Hate threads that gain traction like that are the worst, and they do too often on here.

Oh dont get me wrong, they're BOTH pretty awful, acting superior to the other when they're both pretty deplorable. I just get sick of the Boards faster than Reddit.

No, posts here are WAY worse than Reddit. It's possible to talk reasoning into the Reddit users. It's IMPOSSIBLE for the boards users because they downvote spam your shit no matter what you say so they can hide it.
