General Game Play Question from newbie

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am new. Have a few questions.

1 - 5 vs 5 game. If I pick a support champion, why am I finding people on my team telling me to 'bugger off' 'stop following me' 'go some where else' or just '***k off' even if I tell them I am a support. The whole reason for the support champions is to kinda hold back and heal / increase rates, of ones team mates. whats the deal??

2 - Wondering the woods and killing the creatures is a good way to make extra gold, right? why don't to see others doing that during a 5 vs 5 game.

3 - is there a general layout (key mapping) people are using to make it easier. I am finding that me hand whats to slide down to ASDF and not stay at QWER, I am change it but just wondering what people are using??

4 - The Free champion rotation. If I use a 'Free champion' for a week and level them up to whatever(3) then the rotation changes 'on Tuesday, so I hear' Does that level stay with that champion, so if buy that champion at a later date it will be a level 3 ??

1.) Later levels, you won't find people like that. Because its better to stick as a team and not go one man army in a 1v5.

2.) The jungle is the gold/exp farm for the jungle role. With the laners do take at times to get some farm in. usually camps by their lanes. And the jungler sometimes allow their blue buff go to the mid laner and the red buff to their AD Carry.__

3.) Most people use the default. But there nothing wrong on key mapping a set that feels right to you. Personally, I use 1234 over using qwer, as I can use abilities with my mouse that has number key-binds.

4.) Yes, the mastery stays there. It won't degrade or anything alike. You can play a free list champ and get it to mastery 5, and buy it 5 months later, and still be mastery 5 with the champion

This match here is a typical match you'll see once you hit level 30. Sometimes watching videos can help you grasp on how the game is played. While people do have their own styles to handle things differently. https://youtu.be/I0uXI-F67lk

  1. You are supp. So there are two paths: 1) Tank supp- in this path you need to defend your adc and roam to mid when needed. Play Tahm Kench he is really easy for learning this things. 2) Utility supp- Nami, Soraka etc. You need to stay in the back line and heal and CC the enemy team. There is no need always to follow your adc or mid or "carry". You just need to defend them. If they go to put ward or to look inside the jung for a sec don't follow them there is no need. You just need to stay next to them in fights.
  2. As a jung main I can tell you that it's not worth it to kill a ccamp if you are not the jung. They are tanky and give 0 exp if you don't have smite. It's better just to stay on lane and farm. 3.QWER is the best becouse this is how the game is made but you can play in any other way. 4.Yes if you make let's say teemo on lvl 4 when he is on free if you buy him after that he will be still on lvl 4.

All this questions are from new player (i don't want to be offencive). Just play and learn when you should diffrent things. You over all got the things right just don't let bad players to tell you how to get better.

Good luck on the fields of justice. If you have more questions you can ask me in everytime.

Some of these questions are best answered by an understanding of the game and resulting metagame. Level of understanding differs with player skill and advice you receive in game will differ because some players are bad. You may be able to Google the meta but it is largely based on observing pro play.

For 3., you can change key bindings in the game options. Hit ESC to change them. Should also look into smart casting.

1 - Chances are you are either sapping experience, and or making it harder for the rest of your team to defend. aside from those 2 things, you draw far more pressure from the other team and chances are you both will die whereas if only he dies at least the other 4 players [u included] can trade an objective for his life. if u split up 2 and 3, it becones way harder/risker to make these types of trades.

Thanks all for the feedback, helpful...... I watch some of that video at the end there, the 53min game play one, read all the comments and looked up what Metagame is (sounds like something professional game players study on there downtime) I am here for fun also I enjoy the good art work and fun characters or "Champions". If someone whats to yell at me to "***K off" it no skin off my back, I might just stick around to keep them mad if that's the case, I know bad attitude, oh well.

As a jung main I can tell you that it's not worth it to kill a ccamp if you are not the jung. They are tanky and give 0 exp if you don't have smite. It's better just to stay on lane and farm.

I don't know what you mean??

Is there somewhere I can look up these terms: adc or mid or "carry" - what do you mean by abc??

2.) The jungle is the gold/exp farm for the jungle role. With the laners do take at times to get some farm in. usually camps by their lanes. And the jungler sometimes allow their blue buff go to the mid laner and the red buff to their AD Carry.__

So just keep killing the little minions and really don't kill the stuff in the woods?? I would go in to kill the toad things & wolf they seem easy but unless someone from my team was trying a 'big thing' I wouldn't do it.
