Really mad about Riot messing with my Freelo

atomicwit··9 votes·3,063 views

There are so many OP champs right now like Graves top/jg, Poppy, Corki (fits meta well and lots of damage but getting gutted next patch) and they're all getting nerfed next patch but still no Solo Que ladder even in February. I can't even abuse Mundo anymore since he got nerfed 2x in a row and people dodge cleavers better too. It's a disgrace! By the time they have true Solo Que, the game might actually be balanced and all the freelo will be gone. I wanted to get to Plat this season and I'm waiting for ranked to be up but I don't respect Dynamic Que rankings so I basically am stuck playing normals and watching all my freelo disappear, along with my dreams of Plat.

Oh ho ho. There'll always be some freelo out there. ;) Though if you want to needlessly rack your mind you could make an analogy to the efficient-market hypothesis. Because information about the strength of champions is so much better known, there're few secret ways to prosper.

I was mostly joking but thanks for the link. I'll check it out. :)

Sadly, I fear that a lot of people actually think like that, and see absolutely no contradiction between "I don't respect Dynamic Queue" and "I climb just by abusing Freelo Champs".

Not sure if you will see this, but the only way to "balance" the game is to have all the champions do equal amounts of damage in the same timeframe. So, a burst champion can 100-0 you, but all burst champions could... All continuous damage champions deal the same damage in the same timeframe, etc etc... as it is now.. some burst champions are useless because other burst ones do more dmg in same timeframe... other continuous dmg champsions are better than others because they do more dmg in same timeframe... To balance the game, this would need to be addressed and a champions should be unique because of their OTHER abilities (you have 4...).

Champion markets arguably aren't efficient though. Pro play doesn't lend itself to the strongest champ necessarily but the safest especially right now. Pros don't have much incentive or time to explore the champ pool. Many players play based on what the pros play.
