so my first impression of kindred

had one on my team, one against

one went full dmg with a few attack speed items. warrior enchant, +. the other went sated devourer and mostly tanky bruiser items like mallet, cleaver, etc.

the enemy kindred with sated had FAR more dps and was tankier. I do not know if riot intends for kindred to be a bruiser...but the bruiser build was highly effective. they were about even ish in kills/gold from what i could tell.

the dmg felt a bit high to be honest...and for kindred to replace marksman...she didnt really seem to replace an adc...just was this weird bursty assassin ranged character who also could be tanky? with an ult that saved her? idk. it felt like the passive damage was just a bit too strong.

kindred seems discouraged from building like a regular marksman? is this intended? she has no inherent attack speed steroids in her kit...and has a dmg buff in her kit from the passive which means she doesnt need to build as much dmg. this will encourage tankier builds.

lastly, that ult is gamebreaking. truly gamebreaking. it can save and stop so much. it seems like it lasts a bit too long as any kindred was able to just immediately drop it down when they got in trouble and dish out dmg for awhile and even take a person or two out after it ended. I like it though. i feel right now that is what makes kindred...kindred. the ultimate is fantastic thematically and just gameplay wise is so powerful. I feel the passive is a bit too strong though and she is not encouraged to build like a regular marksman and be squishy like a regular marksman would while dishing out similar dmg.

I think she's fairly balanced honestly . . . a lot of her kit has nothing but counterplay attached to it.

If she didn't have a lot of that staacking damage she'd actually be a pretty garbage champion in higher mmrs.

if you take it away for nothing yes. I personally feel she doesn't feel marksman-y enough. she feels like an assassin-y fighter to be honest. its really weird to see her in game. I was expecting more marksman style play where you have to be more careful with positioning, etc. I mean i was under impression the idea was for her to be the marksman on your team and you can send someone else bot like mordekaiser.

you can change it from a passive current% health dmg and maybe make it buff her attack speed permanently.

I mean shes meant to be a jungler she doesn't out damanage and seem to take time to scale I think bruiser seems the way to go plus unless you super fed and ganna win regardless she seems balance if she gets 20 kills and her passive is huge then that's your own fault but she also has to mark the target to get the buffs she seems very balanced and very weak against assassins

again, I'm not saying she felt insanely overpowered. (still need more time with passive) she felt pretty strong...but again. not in a marksman kind of way. she felt nothing like a marksman. she felt like an assassin or a fighter/bruiser.

which is fine, but I just don't see that being a viable replacement to an actual adc on your team. which is I was hoping was their intention.

I think she'd do fairly well in a morde comp.

i have yet to see it as the PBE is honestly a bad place with lots of people not taking the game seriously. I think that would be the ideal comp for kindred....but again. as i've said all thread. does not feel like an adc enough for that. but i guess with morde you dont need an adc as mordekaiser is redonculus right now.

She already has around 2.0 attack speed around level 15 just from the items she buys.

Also, if you went down the tons of attack speed + crit route, using her Q would be a dps loss.

A lot of her kit is designed the way it is because building like an adc on a jungler budget is next to impossible, because the majority of the most expensive items in the game are adc items. It'd take her a good 50 minutes to actually wind up.

She has to be semi bursty because otherwise her ganks would be pretty garbo, and just about anything in the game would be able to shit on her.

Adc with no items and shitty base stats? That's yelling "invade and kill me over and over and over" in higher ranked play.

Attack speed is actually a garbage stat in the jungle for the most part. Which is why sated junglers are actually weaker than most other junglers early on. So, a lot of those attack speed steroids you speak of would be additional dps loss in clears for her making her clears take even longer.

Her entire kit is designed to get her through the first couple clears and hopefully sneak a kill in on a low health person here and there.

the Q is more for mobility and safety. which is what an adc needs. think about lucian. come late game the dash is a slight loss in overall dps for safety. that's fine.

I agree with you that the issues she would have as a true marksman in the jungle would be the same reason no OTHER adc goes in the jungle....but I feel like there has to be some solution rather than giving her raw dmg as a passive. because any time i've seen a champion get raw dmg for free they are always encouraged to build bruiser/fighter. think jax.

I just really would like to see her feel more like a regular adc. even if it is slightly different. I'm not saying she needs to be completely overhauled into a standard adc in the jungle. because I think we all can agree that'd be bad. but I feel currently she is far off from a marksman. she is too far off. there are things they could do to make her closer to a standard marksman style.

With her current range, rng to death style gameplay is impossible. She has 500 range. And idk, personally, I'm fairly certain Riot is trying to remove champions that rely on crit out of the game, or severely cripple them. If you removed her passive stacking damage, there'd be no reason to take her jungle, and she'd just end up as a top laner. Especially if she was given attack speed steroids. If you gve her adc range she'd just go bot lane and snowball off of stacks similar to Draven. Personally I really like her design.

You can really appreciate her feel and niche compared to other adcs.

But heh, she's only been out for a few hours. I'm sure this champ will be fairly versatile, very niche, and played by few people. Which. I'm actually glad about.

Well, my internet cut out again today for no reason at 12:20am just after midnight. I resolved the issue but it randomly happens. This is not my fault and it's not fair that I get targeted by the "leaverbuster system", how about asking your players why they keep getting disconnected, or stop banning people for not connecting during champion select. That's so idiotic, it does nothing but hurt the players. Like I understand the point in rules, but it's becoming ubsurd. I just waited 20 minutes, got put into an empty queue, had to back out, and re-enter with another 20 minute timer. Should I then penalize you because I wasted 30 minutes trying to play, when your system can't even place me in a game? That's no way to treat your customer, and I bet I'm not the only one who it's happened to. This is straight up bullshit, revise the leaver buster system to only register that people consciously have indeed quit the game for some reason or purpose, at least try to establish that reason or purpose, and then act accordingly. People might love worlds, and the fun of league, but you're just going to hurt yourselves with this crap. I bet if Scarra, or Spazie, or any of the players that make you guys alot of money were having these issues, you'd be a little more concerned with getting them back in the game. People leaving champ select isn't a punishable offence, the players aren't in the game, the game hasn't started, and no one is having their time wasted, it would be more of a waste of time to make that player stay in the game, that they don't want to be in, and rage at their team the whole time trying to get a surrender so that they can quit the game without being penalized by your company. And you're telling me that that's a smart decision? I disagree. Could you please take this idea to somewhere higher up to see if maybe they would consider some leniency with the leaver buster system, and make players feel more welcome, and not imprisoned to a "must play" attitude. Do you think some guy is going to stay in champ select if he has to take his family to the hospital because their kid fell and hurt themselves? Like think about that shit. Emergencies happen, just because they aren't league emergencies, doesn't mean they aren't important.

my kind sir. i believe you have too many tabs open. this was obviously intended for a different thread. GG

I don't think she's intended to be a true marksman. Although I'm sure some people will try her bot lane. Also while I'm am interested in a ranged jungler with her potentially diverse build path I can't emphasis how annoying that ult is going to be.
