I'm done. Here's why.

I am sick, tired, and through with teammates ignoring my request to build this, and I'm equally through with Yi's winning games at the press of a button because of it.
Let me explain what just happened.
I'm playing AP Support Galio. Because everyone else picked high damage AD champions (Kayn, Jax, Varus, and Xin). Because don't you know, the way to be one of the cool kids is to totally pwn all the nubs with the edgy AD champs. In any case, I had to take AP and I had to take a tank, and of the champions who fill both roles, I play Galio best. It's not ideal, but it can work.
Anyway their team was Yi, Singed, Mundo, and Draven (with an AFK Ashe). I told my team upfront, "I'm gonna try and rush Morello, but I'll need some MR as well," I said because bot was Singed and Mundo, "so it's best of someone can spare 800g for Executioner's Calling. Otherwise, they'll outheal our damage all game." I'm ignored, but okay, it's early. Maybe they're just acknowledging it for later.
I want to make clear at this point that they absolutely didn't have me muted; I'd said some general pregame stuff minutes earlier and they all got involved in the chatter. Just carry that forward.
Now then. Time passes. Yi's been getting a lot of farm. The game's holding steady; bot's doing well, but Singed is becoming tough to kill with his ult on and Yi's starting to get a couple 1v1 wins in the river. I check to see if anyone's build Executioner. No one's built Executioner. I politely remind them, "Hey, I've just about built Morello, but I have limited ways to proc it. We'll be MUCH safer if someone could build Executioner for us." I'm ignored again.
I even remind them in explicit terms, "For the record, Executioner is an 800g item that causes all forms of physical damage - including autos - to cut all enemy healing by 40% for 3 seconds. That's ability healing, lifesteal, item healing, the works." I'm ignored further.
Time passes. Yi starts to snowball. I see he's getting 2v1 kills now, and he's defining every teamfight. Every time, he walks out with full health. I look again.
"I see no one's built Executioner yet. If we don't get that built, Yi and Mundo will destroy us. SOMEONE please build it. Preferably Varus, but anyone will do." I'm ignored again.
As Yi starts to really destroy us, I remind them a few more times, and am ignored every time. Finally, it gets frustrating enough that I respond to something Yi says in all chat with "You're pretty much dominating right now. It doesn't help that my team has completely ignored every request to shut your healing down. Morello only goes so far."
At this point they all start flaming me pretty hard. Calling me out for "crying", claiming I'm whining on and on about Yi like he matters. "fuck just let yi play his game, we can beat him easy".
~Six minutes and four failed teamfights later, one of my guys suggests "triple team yi". I say, "It won't matter without Executioner's Calling." "SHUT UP," they say. "WHY DO YOU KEEP TALKING"
So they go to triple team Yi. Jax, Xin, and Kayn. They get slaughtered, and Yi walks out with full health.
"tf" Jax says.
"I'm not saying it again. I've told you a hundred times why you're losing those fights."
"there he goes crying again"
I'm not shedding a single tear. I play League because it's comical. I'm not here to impress anyone, I'm not here to make friends, and I'm certainly not here to climb any ladders. I'm simply here to enjoy the laughs that come from trying to steer this hypertuned race car that is the current League meta. I'm here because the game has gotten so ridiculously bad that it's now comedy gold. However, there comes a time when losing the same way in 9 out of every 10 games gets exasperating enough that it overrides the comedic value.
You, on the other hand, many of you do in fact cry over spilled milk in this game. To many of you, a loss is the temporary end of the world. It's for you that I try to spread the knowledge about this simple, inexpensive item that is vital to the current meta. Unless you want lifesteal to make you look like a fool for hours on end, buy Executioner's Calling. No skin off my back if you don't, I'm leaving; but I've been in this community long enough that I feel I have a responsibility to at least leave you with a bit of simple wisdom that will make your experiences less frustrating.
